    Waterford bits

Thanks so much for your quick replies! My horse is a 16.3 wb rising 7 but only backed at 5. He's fit and works 4-5 times a week with varied work. We did our first ode last weekend and he felt like he could have gone again. He rarely sweats up or blows as he is a laid back chap. He doesn't...

    Albion saddle

I know for sure that albions size up generously. So a wide would be a big wide. Although you could get it altered off Albion depending on the tree?

Looking for Tendon & Fetlock Boots

I bough some km elite air shock boots over a year ago. They never move, offer good protection and seem really good quality. In fact, think I'm due another pair in a new colour!

    Waterford bits

Hi. I'm after experiences of people that have tried waterfords. I've never as I didn't like the look of them. Having said that I don't like hauling my horses mouth when XC or sj. He schools beautiful of the flat so it's not too much a training issue. He gets leany and heavy on his forehand in a...

    Albion k2 jump problems

Bought a brand new Albion k2 jump on the adjusta tree made to measure in September. It's never been quite right so got the saddler out and she agreed it needed re templating. Thankfully it's on a tree that can keep being altered. My boy has grown and changes shape a little so I took that as one...

    On the forehand??

Hi. I've had exactly this with my young horse. I was told that this long and low was a nice prelim outline. However had a dressage lesson off a good trainer and he showed us how to build on this and get more of a novice frame. Basically I did a few steps of walk, then trot, then walk, the halt...

    Paint for horsebox roof

I have an old l reg lorry that's showing some signs of water getting in around the Luton. It's a fiberglass roof and I was wondering if there are any paints you can buy to re seal and if it's a job a lady could do herself? Thanks.

Sheepskin half pads - yay or nay

Depends on the horse and the saddle fit. I like them on my horse as he has a wide spine but a high wither so gives him more comfort and support. Also like them for jumping as takes concussion impact. People say you wouldn't wear thick socks with fitted shoes on. But if I was carrying a heavy...

Area 17 and 18 Clear Round 85cm BN - advise please

I haven't been a member of BS for such a long time it will be like starting from scratch again. I have never heard of cashjumping, but just looked it up. How have I never heard of this before? It sounds perfect, just not many venues near me yet. Thanks for the tip on when to do my BS...

Area 17 and 18 Clear Round 85cm BN - advise please

Ah this is exactly the kind of info I was looking for. Thanks for your replies. VRIN - well done on your first British Novice :) Indigogirl - thanks for the heads up about Aintree, we should find a couple of things to aim at. Out of interest is there a best time to join BS? Is there a time...

Area 17 and 18 Clear Round 85cm BN - advise please

Looking at schedules I can only see that Church Farm have a clear round, or maybe some places don't put in on the schedule, as I say, I am out of touch with it all after a 6 year break from competing. Glad you said that about Dean Valley though - I thought I was being a wimp, the second part of...

Anyone got any ideas on saddle dilemma?

Farrington saddles are quite wide in the gullet, 3-4 fingers. My horse only goes nice in wider ones like this. I use a WH saddle for dressage as I don't like feeling too 'hemmed in' or the longer flaps. I like riding in Farringtons and Black Country saddles and my horses definitely like them...
