Personally, I wouldn't mix Brass and Stainless. A bit like the old saying Blue and Green should not be seen....!

I am trying to source French Snaps, which are traditionally used in Hackeny Harness on Overcheck Reins.
I have found some in the USA, but would like to know if anyone here has heard of them in the UK.

If you've got a decent sewing machine (or a good hand stitch) you should be able to make them to fit snuggly.
You get to choose your own colours too.
Shouldn't be too hard to source some really nice sheep skins.
