Dever Girth - like Prof. Choice ones. Anyone used one?

After always using leather girths I used a dever on a friends saddle and loved it. So much so I bought my own, fabric, lined with neoprene, elasticated ends. Never a fan of elastic before but it's brilliant and gives a closer contact than my leather girth. I love it. Great price and good...

    Horsey must-haves?

Not essential but my Haygain hay Steamer has made my winter much more enjoyable. I previously soaked hay. Totally worth the money.

    Top chop zero

My horse likes it and can be a picky eater however I only use a handful dampened down to feed supplements alongside a balancer.

Dressage Anywhere - has anyone on here used this?

    Moving yard

Yes. In person, I left a yard I'd happily been at for 3 years. It was DIY so a home from home and at their home. I left for horses health reasons and did it face to face, it was nice and means I can always go back if I ever needed anywhere.

How do you fill your hay nets?

I don't fluff them up but know people that do, can make a mess & therefore an extra job to sweep up. I put slices in a Haynet and weigh ensuring consistency therefore sometimes have to separate bales but just pull apart. Not fluff. I then steam and feed from the floor both for...

Do horses learn to bang their stable door?

I believe they can pick it up. But that's not to say they all will. My gelding was once kept at a yard that has a mix of DIY & part liveries. Most of the horses were part & most banged their doors at food time when they saw the yard manager & I too was horrified when my horse started to do...

What buckle hole does your girth fasten on?

What buckle hole does your girth fasten on?

Yes, who knows why I'd got this in my head? I've had my current girth four years & it's bang on 42" and stamped 42" without the buckles included. So maybe measured this & assumed from there? Thankfully it's not a problem to return it if it's too short but I'll give it a go to try before I...

What buckle hole does your girth fasten on?

Random question. Yes. My girth has always been a little too long - 42 inches. To secure I've always had to really lift my leg & fasten 5th/6th (final) buckle hole on girth straps of my saddle. So I've finally purchased a new one. I measured my old one, and measured my horse. Opted for...
