    Schoolmaster dressage lessons SW

I want to have some schoolmaster dressage lessons and am wondering where to go for them. Narrowed it down to Claire Lilley or Talland - both close to me and seem to have a good reputation. I definitely want private lessons so cost wise both these options are more or less the same. I am...

    Dressage Delight and Disaster

Here's the appropriate rule from the BD rulebook - sounds like she should not have been allowed to complete 1st test if I've read it right: 83. Dismounting and/or fall off horse If, after the rider has entered the arena, he/she dismounts without a reason acceptable to the Judges, no marks...

    Trailer Towing insurance

QR Check the terms and conditions of your car policy - some say you are only insured if you own the trailer or have it under a hire agreement, some you must tell the company that you will be towing etc.

Easiest, most cost effective way of managing a stable?

Aubiose deep littered is great. Quite dear to set up the bed at first, but after that you will only need to top up once a week, I managed on half a bale a week. Very quick to muck out as even the messy types (my mare similar to yours, poos everywhere) can't bury the poo!

    Trailer towing as a learner?

When I had lessons prior to my trailer test my instructor said i could drive on the motorway but only with a qualified instructor - i.e. I could drive on there with him or the examiner but not anyone else. I don't know what the legal position is but I stuck to what he told me!

    plaits

http://www.horsehero.com/1180/competition-turnout-and-travel/5483 Have a look at this video - they are quite simple to do once you get the hang of it (and as long as the mane is long enough!)

    Novice 36 - walk movement

Yep is the 2002 version I have - thank you, I didn't think it would be wrong but I had a last minute "oh my god what happens if it is supposed to be fwlr and I didn't check!"

    Novice 36 - walk movement

Paranoid maybe...but can someone check their copy of Novice 36 for me? Movement 7 says change the rein in medium walk. I kind of expected it to be free walk on a long rein... My version is the laminated dressage direct sheet with diagrams.

    Towing vechicles- any suggestions??

I have a Kia Sorento, for comparison on price I paid £10k for it at Xmas 3 yrs old with 24k on the clock. It's the top of the range model. Parkers or similar would be your best bet to check on prices. Great car and tows well.
