    Arkenfield Dressage tomorrow: Help!

I'm entered in the prelim but have no idea which test it is. My entries are on my laptop that I left at work The BD website is down so I can't check and I never seem to receive the magazines so have no schedule. Does anyone know which prelim test it is?

    Anyone ride a rearer?

Could be that she has a physical problem so agree with Sunny08 about the back, teeth, saddle, etc. However, my four year old has just started this as an evasion tactic and I've just about stopped it. When she reared I smacked her behind the saddle and rode strongly forward into canter. After...

Anyone actually bought a IW 511?

Actually, all I would say is don't get the additional head guard thingy because it's a pain opening the partition at the front, and go for the wheeled tack locker rather than the fixed one because there's loads more room in it.

Anyone actually bought a IW 511?

We have a 511. We've used it at least weekly for the past 8 months, locally, up and down motorways (OH draghunts and I compete dressage). I LOVE this trailer. It has a tiny bit of mould on the roof but only because we never bothered to get it treated when invited to by IW. It's great to tow...

How much would a good potential dressage horse cost?

I bought a lovely locally bred mare, nice breeding (samber), superb paces as a 3 year old and paid just under £5k. I think I got lucky though and happened to hear of the horse just as it was about to go on the market and got in there quick. 6months on and we're about to start BD and I have...

    Billet fricking hooks

I shove a biro in the gap behind the billet and wriggle it until the leather lifts over the back of the billet. Usually does the trick.

    If Carlsberg did Livery yards....

I reckon Carlsberg do my livery yard. It's ace. Nicely managed turnout. Lovely school. Nice sized stable. Lots of access to local comps. Lovely yard manager and staff who know their stuff. After 30 years of being on livery, I've never been anywhere as nice.

towing advice for a towing newbie

I've a couple of good reversing tips... If you're trying to reverse in a straight line and the trailer starts to turn, turn slightly towards the side you can see most of in your mirror and you'll straighten up. When you're trying to reverse in a turn, turn the wheel in the direction that you...

    Colleges

Myerscough College in Lancs. www.myerscough.ac.uk. They do lots of shows and there's really good transport links if you want to get out and compete.

Which riders do you most admire?

Ooh Franke Sloothaak for showjumping, Mark Todd for eventing and it has to be Carl Hester for dressage.
