    big knee blocks jumping..your thoughts?

Hate big blocks , feel much more secure in saddle with no blocks! Might be because i have stupidly long legs too so pretty much no saddles fit me and puts my legs into a really un natural position. Also have to ride in my saddle with no blocks as my knee cap goes out of alignment if i dont as...

    Freelance Grooms/Riders

Hi Im just looking at going self employed and was just wondering if you needed to set it up as an actual business or you can just say that your self employed ie. the invoice just has your name at the top not an actual business name? Also im looking to do a bit of buying and selling and just...

Any suggestions as to what I can do with my "retired" 4yr old?

Really sorry to hear that but unless you can give him a forever home until it becomes too painful for him I would pts. With loaning or giving away as companion you have no idea where he could end up and even if the people that buy him are lovely, they may have to give him up for whatever reason...

    Tendon and fetlock boot recommendations

Antares are gorgeous but very pricey, CWD are nice too and a bit cheaper i think. Just ordered a tekna set as thought they looked a right bargain so glad to hear they're nice :)

Are you from a horsey family?

Mine arent horse at all and when i was younger everything was a constant battle, i didnt get my first horse til i was 15 and they wouldnt take me to competitions until i was 18. It was only til i wanted it as a career and my dad saw the financial gains of buying and selling horses that they...

How tall are you and your horse?

Think it matters more about how you ride than how tall you are , i used to ride for a dealer that sold jumping ponies and im nearly 6 foot but i ride very light and short. Have always felt more comfortably on ponies and much prefer jumping small short backed horses even though i look much better...

    Saddlepad recommendations - close contact

Equiport sit nicely and dont slide back, the girth straps arent too bulky so i normally just tuck them under the saddle. Come in lots of pretty colours too :) !

what do you do after a bad/disapointing round?

pig out in the cafe , moan to my mum and send wingey texts to my trainer . lol once ive pulled myself together just try and end on some sort of good note by either popping the practise fence nicely , go in hc or try and get to trainers or another show soon as poss (obv not same day but a few...

To those of you with showjumping experience

You cant really say as obviously depends on ability and attitude of the horse. For a GP potential horse you could be paying SERIOUS money but for something thats going to be a good competitive amateur horse i would think about 15-20k :)
