Round Bale Net Recommendations - Not Trickle Net!

I hope you have more luck than us - we were really disappointed with the string it came with and had to get our own rope, not sure if they've changed that now but the tiny little string they sent with a bale net was pathetic!

Thanks HufflyPuffly, I will take a look - looks a very reasonable price compared to the tricklenet too!

Round Bale Net Recommendations - Not Trickle Net!

Hi All! I'm looking for recommendations for the most robust round bale hay net - we have tried a big fishing net, but the holes were too big. We have tried a cheap alternative (from temu probably) but this didn't last long Our trickle net was good, but only lasted one winter which i'm pretty...

Decision between fusing hocks or stem cell treatment - experiences?

Thanks - that sounds like it was successful! I think the price is about as I expected, as thats roughly what his OCD surgery cost as well when he was younger

Decision between fusing hocks or stem cell treatment - experiences?

Very true - he was fine at the yard he went to when he was backed, so a different environment could certainly help (I just need to save up even more!)

Decision between fusing hocks or stem cell treatment - experiences?

I didn't realise there were two types! I will research both - thanks!

Decision between fusing hocks or stem cell treatment - experiences?

Thanks for taking the time to tell me your experience - it has given me lots of extra questions to ask the vet that I wouldn't have considered before. (I guess I hadn't thought about if fusing fails what would the result be - in my head I just assumed it couldn't be worse than it is already!) I...

Decision between fusing hocks or stem cell treatment - experiences?

Thanks, that's really useful to know too. I'm more leaning towards fusing because it seems more long term I have just joined a new vets practice due to my old one shutting down (Chiltern), so I haven't discussed it with them fully yet. My plan in the new year is to get fresh xrays and go from...

Decision between fusing hocks or stem cell treatment - experiences?

Thanks @dottylottie - I'm so glad to hear it worked! Did it require much box rest? and have they said if this is a treatment that will need to be repeated, or is it a one time thing? As this is my other issue. He does not boxrest well - I think the arthrimid wasn't as effective the 2nd time...

Decision between fusing hocks or stem cell treatment - experiences?

Hi All, I have a 5 year old criollo X TB that sadly has had some rough luck in his little life so far! Sorry if its long - bit of back story first: I've owned him since he was 10 months old, he had OCD surgery on both stifles as a yearling - this was successful surgery and xrayed again as a 4...

    Treating ulcers without scoping

How did you word this to your insurance? I'm with NFU and want to treat without scoping, if PetPlan paid out I would assume NFU would too as they're usually pretty good!

Just half - Falco was the only foal his mum had - they all really keep the Arrayan Numa looks!

Forget the toilet roll and hand sanitiser, I just panic bought a horse!

Just a little update- After (successful!) OCD surgery, awful boxrest, 2 years turned away and then a diagnosis of hock arthritis (now injected with arthrimid) - Falco has finally been backed! I sent him away to Sophie Seymour (highly recommend if anyone is looking, she has been fab!). Sophie...

How good do you think you are at riding?

I think I ride my horse really well and we have a great connection - I can't ride anyone else's horse though, absolutely useless at that
