How did you word this to your insurance? I'm with NFU and want to treat without scoping, if PetPlan paid out I would assume NFU would too as they're usually pretty good!
Just a little update-
After (successful!) OCD surgery, awful boxrest, 2 years turned away and then a diagnosis of hock arthritis (now injected with arthrimid) - Falco has finally been backed!
I sent him away to Sophie Seymour (highly recommend if anyone is looking, she has been fab!). Sophie...
Ooh she is beautiful! They all have such a distinctive look, can spot an arayan a mile away!
I found Falco such a perfect grass livery that I moved my older horse there too. Over 50 acres on a valley in a mixed herd of 18 - couldn't have asked for more and he is so happy there and he is...
? we actually broke up, he found the long distance difficult and got himself a few other ladies to occupy him while he was there...
However! I'm still planning some travels for myself and the horses. Staying in the UK first as a trial run but I might still get to Sweden with one of my horses...

Falco did well being turned out, i think it has to do with his herd being a quiet lot. However after such a long time boxrest for a baby I decided to turn him away to mature at a lovely yard with a mixed herd...
Hope your horse recovers well! It sounds like you have a good sick paddock set up where you are.
I only used relaquin for the first day of turnout, since then he hasnt needed anything - though I am still weaning him off the valerian that he was on while on nlbox rest - so we will see what hes...
Well, we went for it!
The vet reassured me that we had done extra box rest because of the lack of being able to inhand walk, and that he was more than ready to go "out out".
We decided to sedate with relaquin (you can see in the video just how much good that was!) and to turnout with my other...
Ideally yes, but we can only turn out 24/7 when our farmer allows it. That can be anywhere from end if April until mid June (and he doesn't give any warning either!)
I've got a feeling after a long day out he will be exhausted, he has always been a bit of a gate hanger waiting to go back in to...
