I love most breeds but especially Pointers and Whippets due to their athleticism and short coat. Not too keen on West Highland Whites as my sister in law has 2 and they yap/bark at everything but that may be due to lack of basic training on her part when they were puppies.:)

All the dogs I have owned over the years have appeared to dream. My current two twitch/make little noises . I always say the whippet is chasing rabbits and the pointer is chasing the whippet.

Totally agree with you. Think some people are making a lot of money out of what are basically mongrels ( not that there is anything wrong with not being a pedigree ). Labradoodles seem to be the priciest at least in the area I live in. Why are the public taken in????

Your Grans line of Whippets was very well known and respected. Have you tried contacting any of the Whippet breed clubs for advice or tried searching on line the various clubs archives.?

As we are all dog lovers on this forum, I do agree how heartless it appears but better the dog goes to a rescue than being released miles from home to fend for itself or worse!!

Loved the photo. I used Metacam on my oldie which worked but caused him to have an upset stomach. He is now on Super Solvitax which you can get from any good pet shop. He is less stiff now so hope this works for your dog

Dont know how you stand it and the owners obviously dont care. Suggest you contact the environmental health dept at your council. Luckily my dogs only bark when necessary and stop when told to.
