Thank you so much for your reply! I suspected there wasn’t going to be a quick fix 😕. I had wondered about a mirror as an idea, good to know it helped her. Been debating a companion versus partition removal but guess time will tell on that too. Will need another breast bar. Thank you!
Can anyone give me any advice on improving my horses confidence in the trailer? He previously travelled fine but then had a bad experience, I still don’t know what happened but he now seems very claustrophobic in there. He will load fine without a partition and is becoming more confident with...
My mare is 2 months pregnant, but has been a bit 'down' over the last week or so. I assumed it was just lethargy with the heat, but yesterday she practically refused to come out of her stable and was very lame behind. She just takes tiny little steps and looks very sore in her pelvis. Kept her...

Help!!
Can anyone locate me Templebready Fear Bui? Is he still active and in service? I tried the website, but have had no response!
Alternatively.... Can anyone recommend me a Connemara Stallion! I'm looking for something to put to my TB mare, to produce a (hopefully!) straightforward...
Sadly my horse has been retired by the vet and after 17 years of owning and competing my own horses I thought I might look at this as an opportunity to get some experience on a schoolmaster (Due to my dole queue collection I can't afford the time or money to keep another!).
Does anyone know...
According to the Bossy Bibs website they have a maneguard version coming out soon! Might be worth a look? I've just ordered new bibs for each of the hairies and can see myself spending more money on upgraded versions (of bibs, not hairies!) soon.
I'm fairly sure that Dave Marlin did some research on this and established that horses only needed to be worked 3x a week - (although more intensively than if they were ridden daily) and I'm pretty sure he was looking at 3DE levels of fitness. Was a while ago though so my brain may have muddled...
mine has a massive lump of scar tissue on her fetlock from an injury as a yearling, the only problems (touch wood!!) it seems to cause are fitting boots, as they often rub. Obviously check with vet, but if it's just cosmetic and its a good horse, wheres the prob!
I'm only speaking from hearsay, but I know (first hand) of at least one grand national winning trainer who refuses to run on artifically watered courses as they believe it creates an unbalanced going (ie wet patches and dry patches) which does the horse more harm than a consistently hard surface...
Maybe I've had too much wine and misunderstood,
but to quote the H and H racing editor "but, before you listen to the tabloid hysteria and yell "Ban the National!", remember how many worse fates befall horses than to run in it.
Surely the point is we want to keep our horses alive and...
Not many horse die AT badminton, but there are a large number that don't event again.
I event, not making any statement, other than the facts.
People die every year climbing Everest, and we are blessed with the intelligence and independence to stop when we feel necessary. The National is...
