yes mine was a le mieux.....took 25 mins to get it near her - cue shooting accross the yard sideways very nearly dislodging our brand new dressage saddle snorting and looking like the world was about to collapse in on itself
She's as freshly frightened of it every time i use...
Yup! This is exactly my mare but she is like it with half pads too. Took it off in the middle of a jumping lesson last week as i was worried my saddle was a little tight....biiiiiiiiiig mistake lol I thought it was the whiteness of it as i had a similar experience with a sheepskin girth sleeve...
think sheepskin is the scariest thing in the world?
My mare totally freaks at it and i wondered if anyone else had the same problem? White sheepskin seems to be the scariest but we do have a bad reaction to dark coloured sheepskin too.
Did some desensitising to it last night but she's...
my girly's only just up the road in Blaby - we didn't get the hailstones here in Croft but it was VERY dark over blaby way. :( hope the ponio's ok. She'd get all chicken licken on me and think the sky was falling.
THE END IS NIGH!
Thank you guys! Defo like the NS dutch gag type bit. She definitely needs to learn some manners out hacking, she's getting very rude and if i let it escalate it's going to start to get dangerous as we don't have the quietest hacking :o
Thank you very much everybody - i am going to try my...
I've heard very good things about this lady. My physio (who is totally no nonsense, never met anyone more no nonsense than my physio lol) rates her and even lectured with her at one point.
I've known a few people have this lady out and she's known things there's no way she should've known -...
Wow thank you :) she's a tough one, she can lean and tank but equally can curl up, tense and sit right behind the bit/contact and hollow too so i'd rather her be into the contact but stoppable and respectful of it but happy to mouth it and stuff too :) (am i asking too much )...
Thank you :) I have no idea what that means but i shall research it! :D I'm almost ashamed to be this bad at bitting, having owned horses for near on 20 years i've never had the need for extra stopping power!:o
I'm sorry, i know there are loads of these but i'm a bit stuck!
I'm absolutely rubbish with bits but i need some extra brakes/respect for hacking.
Schooling i use a NS loose ring lozenge. Perfect for schooling and i have no issues
Trouble is, i'm getting tanked off with when i hack. I...
Those of you that suggested these, they came on Wednesday - fed some straight away and have feeding them since.
I have a different horse! I don't know whether it's coincidence or not but she's certainly not holding on to her wind like she was on Tuesday and she's so much happier! We've got...
