ah shes sweet. My big boys passport starts... Bay, crossed out and replaced with roan... crossed out and replaced with bay again.. crossed out and replaced with steel grey! Hes 10 now and a typical dapple grey, but as a bubba they didnt have much of a clue what he was going to be!
Years ago, we used to cut their tails off! lol... the idea was that people were always in a hurry to bring a horse back in to work before they were ready, so cut the tail off at the end of the dock, turn it away, and when the tail had grown back and its sound you could bring it back in to work!
Oh dear... I suspect you have never ridden a highly schooled horse which has sooo many "buttons" its scary. My horse wouldn't know what to do if i gave it a pony club kick, he'd probably throw a wobble and put me on the floor! why? because you have to be precise with him, there is a different...
All but one of mine come off hard feed over the winter and are just pumped full of hay and or haylage. if anything since I started this my eventer does better over winter, and doesnt drop condition as much.
They generally need to go back to Butet in france for adjustment. Dont need flocking as such, but often means that they are padded via prolite or similar
There is no point in recommending you a hat, because EVERY persons head is different. You need to go somewhere good, and try on as many as possible, and then make a decision.

I would move in a flash, your not a child, and they have no right to talk to you like that, however I do feel that this is sooo often a problem... sigh horsie people with a big "I know better than you" attitude and above their station!
