Apologies if this sounds stupid but in 30 years of owning horses, I have never had to use a transporter so just a few quick questions...
I'm not going to be there when they pick the horse up so do I need to provide them with a head collar/lead rope, hay and travel boots or do they use...
Thank you but a little small for me. Sadly I'm nearly 6' with stupidly long legs so need something bigger. What I wouldn't give to be able to be short enough for a NF or a connie!
I would like to do BE eventually so that's why the budget is higher but I'm totally shocked by the prices currently. Quite clearly been out of the buying market too long.
Ok, perhaps it's because I haven't had to horse hunt for a long time but seriously... just enquired about a 8yo with a chequered BE record that wind sucks with no notable breeding and they want 20k. Have I missed something?
You don't have to have the tack lockers. The one pictured is the M. Model. The L only has them as an option and I'm pretty sure you don't have to have them in the M if you don't want them.
I compete affiliated medium on a horse out 24/7. He's happy in or out, provided he's rugged appropriately and if we do away shows, we make sure we find some grass for him. I must admit, I do get some strange looks when I tell people he's out 24/7 as a competition horse! :D
Generally sparsholt will use their big outdoor with 2 arenas set up next to each other. One arena will have people/horses walking beside it and the catering van and possibly a marquee as well. The other arena may have horses in it that occasionally canter off/play (as horses do) next to it as...
