I have a boss xs and absolutely love it. It's so easy to go out on my own, really well thought out and so much storage. One of mine is a terrible traveller and I would only travel him in my box. He went over the breastbar and it collapsed, horse had a slight scrape and we simply put it back on...
One of mine pulls all of the hay out, (then normally wees on it). I use blue barrels cut in half and put two flat stones from a stone wall on the top of the hay, waste alot less and takes them longer as they can't pull it out and also stops the barrels blowing away when empty!
Thank for the replies, it's hard to explain it and I have no videos of the lessons, but she hasn't given us clear exercises for between the lessons, just advised to do what we have been doing in lessons but more like 'carry on' rather than anything specific.
I've booked to take him to someone...
I would consider myself a soft rider and that makes me wonder if I should actually be doing more and I'm taking him too slowly. I got him as a forever horse and to bring on while my other one begins to do less as he gets older, so I don't feel a pressure that by a certain age he must be doing a...
Thanks, that's made me feel loads better! I think I have thought of going back as a few people on the yard use her and think she is great. However I think of where I've got with my now retired horse and am happy with the progress he made with me, and where we got to competition wise. I haven't...
I've recently been taking my 4 yr old tb to some lessons with a well respected dressage trainer within the area. This has mainly been to get him in the lorry and used to going out and about, but also as we don't have an arena at the yard so it's his only schooling apart from what we do out...
I have a Boss 3.5 horsebox and love it. Ramp is on drivers side but both my horses travel behind passenger side no issue, I think that is how they have designed it to be used. I only ever travel one so have moved the partition so they have a bit more space. Lockers etc all really well thought...
Rideaway is great for general stuff but I really like r&r for better brands/more luxury items-maybe plan a trip to both?! They are both close to york and easy to get to.
I would also trying sit it out. My tb went from not leaving the yard to being the perfect hack in 2 hacks after being given back to me as he was dangerous to hack. When he did it I just waited him out and from memory it didn't take long till he realised he wouldn't win, I didn't try to fight...
If you still have the neue schule bit I would try that. My dentist told me that the links of the French link can dig into the tongue with pressure, if you look on Google there are studies/images of injuries caused by them. The ns bits are designed not to be like this so I would try and go back...
Where abouts in North yorks? I go to a few things on my own so if you pm me with what you are doing I can see if we are at the same things if you want someone to park near/company. If I go somewhere on my own I always make sure people know where I am/my times, and have all mine/horse/emergency...
I have a long sleeved cyclist hi viz jacket and Wear my air jacket over the top. Also doesn't get too warm in summer with just a top underneath. Apparently I'm more visible doing that from the front of the horse to a normal tabard!
