Thank you for recommending Rosie popsdosh and LJR :) I'm sure she'd be only too happy to discuss the idea and answer any questions JBS so here is a link to her website http://rosiechinery.com/. Contact details etc are all on there.
I doubt you'll want to contact her immediately but just to...
He sounds and looks really lovely. I think you're being very sensible in holding off proper competitions until you have the measure of each other and there's nothing wrong with the ambition to 'have fun' if you ask me. Look forward to further updates :)
You're very cynical popsdosh but I guess you have your reasons :). I can only tell any of Rosie's owners that she never leaves the warm-up without the intention of winning no matter who gets the prize money and she is also completely open with owners regarding her opinion of their horse's...
Great report DB and well done for finishing, just a matter of time until you're in the winners enclosure! Rosie has acquired 2 pointers and is planning to race again this season for the first time since her accident but we'll be in East Anglia so we won't see you and the new girl :(
Lovely boy Elvis and a fab end to the season :) I've always thought Larkhill looks a super course but it's a long way from us and getting lost would be a step too far!
I really enjoyed reading that - not too long at all, we needed to know the background. Well done for working so hard and persevering. I totally agree with Nicnac about the XC being the bit that counts - it's why people want to event or in my case, want to own an eventer :)
Can't see why not. My only caveat is what happens if she doesn't sell in the spring? I guess the owner would just take her back but you need to clarify this before you agree. Good luck :)
What a day and good luck with getting Big Horse to believe you next time you go on a dressage outing. Interesting re the pooing, Stan does this before he goes out and in the lorry and when we arrive much to Rosie's disgust so we have to go everywhere armed with wet sponges.
By the way, you do...
Thank you - he is smashing but I would say that wouldn't I :)
The 3 falls in the SJ was just before Stan went in too, poor girl :( I tried to use that as an excuse for his 2 poles but Rosie said I was being silly and it was more likely to be her fault. Couldn't agree more that all home safe...
Well done and bad luck. You're not the first (and certainly won't be the last) to miss out a fence - beware the 'learning the wrong test' error by the way. Very exciting that was especially as the rider only realised when she was in the warm up and had paused to watch a couple of others before...
What a season!! I love to hear about babies developing and learning their job, so rewarding and it sounds as though you'll be earning some pennies from show jumping over the winter to add to the piggy bank for next year's BE :)
