hi there, my tb has got a punctured toe and so needs to be on box rest as he can't be trusted to not gallop around in his field! The issue is that he hates been left alone. It is only him and two other horses, so i put one of them out in the field that his stable is in with a haynet tied to the...
i did the unaffiliated earlier this year, thought it rode really nicely but there was a ditch which was full of water. Most horses didn't seem to bothered by it though as it was on the was back to the warm up !!
When i got mine in april, he literally needed shoeing every 2 weeks!!! but he is now on 6 weeks like the others are. he had been on Global Herbs hoof supplement and we have a very good farrier. He can also be a pain to catch as he wasn't turned out before much, and cant be left alone in the...
get up at 6.30am, horses are kept next door so quietly make up feed without making YO dogs bark! take T/O rugs up with me, feed both of them. full muck out on both whilst they are eating breakfast, change rugs over, turnout, do hay and water, sweep yard. Run home and shower before leaving for...
i have one of the new rodney powell pro ones and i love i so far. I got mine at Blenheim from the Horses in SPort shop, they had a fitter on their stand who made sure it was the right size! i had mine made up in my colours and size and it was with me within 10 days. Really good service and...
i am using the winter to improve my 7 yo ex- racer's dressage! currently, he is very unbalanced and i am finding that if you take him off a circle onto a straight line in trot, he tends to lean on the bit. What i have been doing is a 10-15m circle everytime he leans as this tends to rebalance...
i have the ones that aren't cordura covered, and things do stick to them quite a bit! the large size is also really big i found, only just small enough for 16'3 ISH who is heavy boned! also, you can get them cheaper if you buy direct from thermatex. i got both my sets at their stand at badminton...
i have a whippet, but i have to say she is rather naughty but has a great character. She has spend a lot of time at the vets though, flint, barbed wire and whippets don't go well together! she is also a very good theif, she can jump onto worksurface and boiler to get bread/ catfood!
hi everyone, just looking for reccomendations for over-reach boots. i don't really like them as i have seen too many horses somersault over them, but new TB has already over-reached three times! ideally neoprene and close fitting and not too expensive!
thanks
my pony has HUGE splints on both front legs! i've found ones that have fleece lining are best as they mould to the shape of the splint, if you get what i mean!! i have the NEW ones, you can get them in most places but they are quite expensive!
hope this helps!
