i recently used a horse sitter through and i paid £100 for 5 days. That was for my horse to be checked, fed/watered and her fly sheet on and off morning and evening. They even poo picked her field for me.

i currently keep her at my home so going away is a problem. I dont like moving her really as it upsets her for few days and she takes a bit to settle. No i havent got a price list yet, but think i might ask for one. What do you do with your horses/ponies while you are away?

i use a mane comb (the ones with blades in) on my pony. She hates it being pulled and so would i!! So i use the blades instead. She stands for so long then needs a rest. I usually do it over a few days, so she doesnt learn bad behaviour to get out of having it done.
