Hi Guys
My mare has SI and owned 6 years. Always warn a Boett but still find she tends to rub, she seems a sensitive soul and is allergic to a number of creams/ potions etc. Have any of you tried the capsules from the company that supply Boetts £75 for 3 months. She is fed brewers yeast and...
I currently have Cavallo (owned nearly 20yrs) just too big. I am now looking for some new boots for fairly short and narrowish calfs (13.5') x 16'. Any idea on ones that won't dig in to back of knees, comfy and look good in dressage & jumping. Ideally around £200
My mare was 10o times worse than this at events, she'd rear, spin, bolt. what did I do, went back to basics, took the pressure off. I didn't do any jumping comps just dressage comps and clear round. To me I would've made your horse at least jump one fence or to have worked away from the gate...

Well ridden been there and done it with my mare. The XC never got any better in fact, I would say it was worse and in the end affected her SJ confidence. It took a year + to get her jumping fillers again and she is now traumatised by logs. she was never beaten, just ridden positively but decided...
Have you had their teeth checked at all? My horse is also relatively fussy will not touch anything with oil in. The only food I hav managed to keep her on is Alfa lite/ healthy hooves and speedi beet with pink powders
My horse had PSD and I just thought she was being lazy in the school as she hates flatwork and loves jumping. However on a circle she never really tracked up and apparently this is quite a common sign.
She had an op 13 weeks ago and I am keeping everything crossed it's a sucess
Really that is not good, my vet TBH wasn't that helpful on an ideal exercise program. I am happy to stick to hacking for as long as necessary and to only start canter when long track of grass. I am wary of doing too much to soon.
Hi Guys looking for a bit of advice from anyone who's horse has had the surgery and the exercise program you used post suregery? I had the surgery just over 3 months ago, mare had 10 days box rest, 4 weeks paddock rest and the last 6 weeks building up walk to 1 hour and just introduced trotting...

Well I had owed a lovely Kate Negus bridle for 13 years until a fox got hold of it last night!
I am now having a dilemma on bridles as I own a warmblood, who is v difficult to fit bridles for. She has to have full or x full browband, full headpiece, cob cheeks and normally a cob noseband. Any...
Blacksheep forelimbs have a better prognosis with rest than the hind, so hopefully your one will make a full recovery. My mare is not liking box rest, she's pacing & trashing her stable - roll on Friday when staples are removed
My vet decided because of how long my horses had been grumbling he felt the shockwave & rest wouldn't really achieve anything and I had a 40% chance she'd come right. With the surgery risks etc he felt we had an 80% chance. I wanted what was best for the horse as she gets bored easily. The...
An update, last week my mare went back for the nerve block which confirmed the op would work and was the best option. When we first started working her she was sound (been rested for 5 weeks) however the further on we went the more obvious the lameness. This showed that 1 - after rest once...
