Can't obtain a covering certificate! Help?!

Fortunately the other stallion I’ve used Hollyland O’donovan seems traceable through the Internet so by hook or by crook I should be able to obtain a covering cert for the foal due next year. Yes certainly something I would be aware of in the future you just don’t imagine it happening as it’s in...

Can't obtain a covering certificate! Help?!

Yes thats what I understand. She simply ignored me when I asked who he was registered as a stallion with. If this is all 'dodgy' for want of a better word, who would she be accountable to? If anyone?

    Lameness help wanted

    Lameness help wanted

My horse went lame about 10 days ago, we thought it to be in the heel of the near fore however when the farrier came out he found nothing in that hoof apart from being slightly tender, possibly some slight bruising. He then had a look at the off fore and found puss in the frog. I have since been...

Buying and transporting horses from Ireland

Just wondered if anyone had any experience of going over to Ireland with a lorry and buying some horses and bringing them back? I'm just looking in to it at the moment so any information from ferry costs to the sales to go to is welcome! Me and my friend buy and sell a few horses so familiar...

sore around girth after hunting - girth recommendation?

I've just had that problem after my mares first days hunting. Not broken the skin but sores on both sides, nothing too serious but have been washing every day with salt and water/surgical spirit and gave her a few days off. Have just bought the shires anti chaff girth, wasn't very expensive so...

    No brakes... Help please

I know how you feel, no brakes is not much fun! I've always been a fan of the cheltenham gag either with one or two reins, I find they tend to keep there head up it is rather than sticking it between their knees and tanking. This is a strong bit but in the right hands it's fine and tbh I'd think...
