We have a meadow that has been untouched, in the chemical sense, has been manured via horses, been rested/harrowed/rolled... It's all growing lovely, but is now a sea of buttercups!!!!! We intended on making hay for the horses from this field, is this a problem, I know horses tend to avoid...
I can't believe if I bought a 800kg trailer and my cob was 500kg.. my grand scenic would pull it????????????????? Why don't u ever see ppl pulling trailers with cars like that?
No more questions I promise!! Cheers!
Am actually quite surprised how much you can tow with "normal" cars... like my old saab 9-3 convertible, would have nearly towed it!
What I meant was, if i did all the calculations and my trailer and horse came to 1700kg, is there anything wrong in getting a car that max tow weight is 1700kg, or is it best to go for a bit extra ie 2000kg?

thankyou so much!! that wouldn't be much different from my scenic!! I am currently putting about £30 in it a week just flitting around here and there!! is yours a manual?
How much do you pay tax?
Sorry for being dumb!!!!!!:D
so I have a grand scenic for an example it is 1600 and it can tow braked Max weight of 1300kg, so if the trailer was 1000kg, I can tow a 300kg pony??
Thankyou for taking the time to reply, i shall google vehicles... with that towing capacity!
Can anyone recommend an economical car through experience?

I am on a low budget and currently have a friend who lends me her lorry or car and trailor!! Yes she is wonderful to me! I would really like to swap my current family car for a vehicle capable of towing a 16hh cob. I have access to a light box.
Is there a car that would be economical as a...
