Riding whilst pregnancy - pelvis pain

I'm 22 weeks pregnant & have noticed after riding my pelvis seems stiff/seized up. Plus it hurts to walk too fast. Am only riding at weekends & only hacking round the local village/yard land. Bearly getting out of walk. Is there anything (besides giving up riding) I can do to help pelvis?

Those of you that have lost horses...

I had 2 horses - Rusty and Sam. Rusty, very fit (we did endurance riding together!) & well, aged 17, 3 months ago, collapsed and died whilst I out riding. I found it very traumatic - totally unexpected, I had to watch him die and could do nothing to help (except hystrical phonecall to vet)...

Hi, Im new and sharing horses!

Yes, before i could afford my own horse I used to share a horse and would muck out, make feeds etc on "my days" in return for riding. I didn't pay anything, if I had a sharer now I wouldn't expect them to pay - it would be becuase i didn't have enough time for the horse etc. Put adverts...

Getting a necessary supplement into incredibly fussy mare

Marmite! Its the only way i have been able to pursuade my fussy beastie to eat his the funny smelling supplement I feed him. Apparently horses like the salty taste of marmite. Anyway i mix it with some boiling water, pour onto feed, allow to cool (!) and to my amazement he eats .......

What things do you do that other HHO mightn't approve of!!

I rarely tie up and let horsey wander loose in yard - even with other liveries around. He is scared of indoor/dark spaces so he never goes in any one elses stable :) (Horsey has a stunning ability to snap headcollars & leadropes and I refuse to spend any more money on them, hence horsey is...

Does anyone tow a trailer on a post-1997 license? Or any towing advice please!

I did the trailer test last year. Passed first time. Now have the freedom to trailer my horses to where I want - best feeling ever. However prior to doing the test, I drove my Pajero/trailer on "L" plates with someone with a pre-1997 driving license sat besides me.

NFU claim form - how long?

My boy died whilst I was out riding (major blood vessel in his gut ruptured leading to heart attack) it was so unexpected & quick that didnt even get chance to get a vet to him! He was 17 also, so yes that does help - I am worried they will tell me he wasn't worth anything/justify value (only...

NFU claim form - how long?

An update: NFU tell me claim form was put in the post this morning. (Whatever i think they are sending the tea boy to the post box with it now). Asked about saddle, they will pay for repairs / compensate if irrepairable. Quite suprised at this!!(Pleased not the right word, more like one...

NFU claim form - how long?

Hi Penfold. I presume you have lost a horse recently. Did you have a post-mortum? If so how much did that cost (roughly)? Sorry if too sensitive a question. Any idea if NFU might pay for saddle? (think Rusty managed to break tree either in fall / or as he lay squishing saddle for 2 & half hours)

    Sharer

When i was looking for a loan a couple of years ago, i started send texts to see if the horse was still avaliable or not. Most of them had already gone and it got a bit depressing ringing all the time .......
