    Rug recommendations!

I had to size up to a 6'6 too for exactly the same reason, he has always been a 6'3 and I thought it may to big around the chest but it's fine and I am glad I went up a size

Trying to find a bed for a large greyhound.

Downstairs she has her own chair! upstairs she has a HiK9 with a duvet over the top for summer sleeping and then in the winter she goes under the HiK9 into her den (as the top duvet covers the whole HiK9) which has another duvet in!

Woof Wear mud fever boots - anyone used these?

I had some when my gelding had a horrible time with it a couple of years ago, I found the sizing very odd but this may have improved or it may have just been my gelding! However the item that worked was the silver whinnys horse sox, I had seen the vet and used their potions, I had tried boots...

    Cremation services Cornwall?

I'm sorry you are having to look into this, I lost my mare last year and contacted Dignity in Hampshire, they collected her then had to take her to Gloucestershire as they only use APPCC (Association of Private Pet Cemeteries and Crematoria) crematoriums. I realize neither are local to you but...

    Badly Named Horses Thread

A horse I knew and then had on loan for a while was called Baby! My beautiful skewbald mare was called Apache, thankfully whoever had her in-between her breeders and myself changed it to Lottie which I always loved! I did name my 16.2hh ISH 'Mouse', as when we arrived to bring her home my mum...

Having a horse put down - Injection or Gun ?

I’m so sorry you’re having to make this decision, I’ve just lost my 26yr old mare, this was my first time and my vet was amazing, she explained everything beforehand including that my mare could ‘run’ once down and make sighing noises but that she would be gone and that it was just muscles...

Best horse insurance companies (recent experience only please)

I have been with Petplan (horses and dogs) for many years and have always been extremely happy with the service, claims forms are easy to fill out and decision and payment have been quick, then any further treatment claims for the same injury or illness have been very simple and fast. I wouldn't...

    Dog clippers recommendations

I have just had to do this with my WCS. I purchased these https://masterclip.co.uk/product-range/product/professional-dog-clippers-cordless-md-roamer-dog-clippers then got the 7 blade off Amazon, I was really nervous, like you had been doing my own horses for 20+ years but never a dog. I was...

    Look who we met today......

Oh he is scrummy, I really hope it goes well for you. My girl was 18 months old when we got her (7 now) and wasn't and still is very much not cat friendly! Yet is absolutely fine with small dogs, my mum has JR terriers and no issues at all and at agility we have allsorts and she never looks...
