We buy a 20 litre drum of vegetable oil from the chef at our local pub for £20. We do have 8 horses though :)

We have some on pellets some on straw. The young messy mares work better on straw & the older cleaner ones on pellets.

The RSPCA are not doing anything according to site on FB! They don't think the horses are in any danger? The water has risen again in the last 24hrs if it rises again they will all drown as there will be no where for them to go. Very sad situation :(
