    Hi There. I have a beautiful yearling and she's v confident, leads well, ties up etc etc. My question is: Is she ok to travel like a grown horse i.e. tied up? What about journey time? I am showing her this year and I know it will be tiring for her but I don't want to take her on long journeys...

    My filly is standing approx 13.1 and we hope she will make 16.2ish. Hope this helps. Not done the elbow to fetlock measurement yet!!

    Freezemarking Foalies

    Just wondering if there is a minimum age for this. My baby is 6 months old. Don't want to traumatise her tho! Anyone got any experiences of freezemarking young 'uns??

    How long before mare & foal be on the same yard together after weaning

    2 months? If I was doing it thats how long I would plan on. My little 'un has been weaned at night but is on same yard as mum so v difficult to find a field for mum to go away to!

    Yes I've just had it done to my 5 1/2 month foalie. Not been billed yet but think its exactly same price as for horse. He numbed her wee neck first and she didnt find it too bad!

    SSHS Gradings

    Just got my first foalie and I'm reg her with Sports Horse GB and Scottish SH. I'm quite comfortable with in hand showing but what I've never done is get a foal graded. I would like to do it as I think she has got great bloodlines. What would it involve and do they just do it all loose?
