I have the best farrier ever! He comes out and checks mine regularly and only charges when they need something. He charges £20 a trim. My farrier encouraged me to take the shoes off my mare and worked with my vet and X-rays to make the transition. I can honestly say without him I would not have...
We have just had a pallet of Verdo to try and I won't be ordering it again. It doesn't seem to absorb and looks disgusting quickly. Back to Liverpool pellets for us.
can you please tell me what you pay for extras on your yard, such as rug changing, bringing in/out, using school lights, holiday cover etc
thanks in advance.
My 16 month homebred foal was put out in a field at midday, by 5pm was flat out with colic thanks to eating one lawn mower box worth of grass cuttings dumped over the fence. The next day he was put to sleep on the operating table and I was left heartbroken and with a huge vets bill. This was in...
Mirrors for training do portable ones that you could then move to suit what you are working on. I have 4 fixed horizontally across my short side and I am considering adding a vertical one in each corner as have found them so helpful.
I struggle with my hands so now I bit up if I think my horses are going to be strong. Both are ridden in a snaffle in the school then a gag on the first ring if jumping/fast work. I didn't do this lightly and spent lots of time improving my balance in the saddle and their transitions/responses...
A lady at our yard sent her cob to him. I don't know how she felt about his training so cant comment. but when we dropped him off Martyn explained that its so much easier to progress with horses staying with him as they can do many short sessions a day instead of one hour lessons and this made...
As title says where is the best places to look?
I'm looking for 0-4 yrs, to make at least 16.2. Mainly for dressage but will be doing abit of everything. Would prefer a filly but not a deal breaker.
Budget is open/undecided at the moment but I'm realistic to prices.
Sadly I lost my...
We don't poo pick but each paddock gets 6months rest as we rotate and we harrow then as they come off. I think if you can't rest them then it's best to poo pick.
My mare is a disgusting eater, food everywhere. The best thing I did was give her a corner manger and now she's much more settled at feed time and gets all her rations.
Definately care. When my vet makes sure he's on the end of a phone for me when I'm at Rossdales having my youngster put to sleep, just incase I need someone to talk to that's caring.
Worn mine a couple of months and I have splits and leaks all over mine :( I emailed caldene who said go back to store but they won't help without a receipt. Very disappointing.
