What do you do with the hanging straps. I have the same issue with the same bridle - I’d prefer to remove the nose band but don’t want to cut the straps.

Oil them repeatedly with neatsfoot oil

If you have a freezer drawer big enough and don’t mind folding at the ankle, fill small freezer bag with water and put in the foot part and into the freezer to freeze. Will stretch most leather
