I' m an instructor at my local centre and we work off a guide that has skills needing to be ticked off before the client can move up a level.
Our lower levels are based on safety, position and horse management. The higher levels, working a horse properly and preparing for open competition...
So I thought I should introduce myself.
I'm an Aussie but love this forum even though I sometimes am totally clueless to what's being talked about :o
I ride dressage and own a young Lipizzaner named Illy who is my best mate.
So tell me about yourself. And what is "working livery"?
Hi
I used something similar to a Dr Cook on a young TB I had.
Due to breaking her jaw as a real baby she was very hard to bit. She would display all sorts of aerial stunts and in desperation I turned to a bitless.
Never had an issue with her again. We had enough Control to jump and ride...
So I'm new to the forum (but have been lurking for some time) and was wondering if there are any Lipizzaner owners, breeders, enthusiasts out there?
I have a lovely little gelding and am eager to find other people who share the love of this breed as there aren't many here in Australia.

I have a Roma for my horse. Quality isn't bad and it seems to repell dirt but I find it makes my saddle slip. I have a very wide pony which probably doesn't help the situation :p
We have a team of vaulters at work and it's my understanding that the wearing of helmets throws their balance off quite significantly.
Also the helmets could get stuck on the roller, side/draw reins etc.
For one reason or another the vaulters don't seem to ever land on their head anyway...
