    Help with a fat dog!

Our average sized beagle that we got from rescue, after a year of having him and large amounts of walking and running. He will not lose the weight! He's on two small meals of chappie a day which he was on before we got him. He does an hour walk once a day during the week, comes for a 8 mile run...

Ahh that's very interesting! My horse has monthly physio and it's funny how we look after our horses more than ourselves!

Ahh didn't think of that! I do struggle with some range of movement but didn't think this would be a factor. Will look into it!

That is fantastic well done!!! I am soon awaiting my first BD and hope it will go an ounce of how yours did! :)

Suggetions/Exercises for a rider with uneven seat.

I tend to sit to the left in my saddle, which results in my horse being heavier in the right hand. Tried no stirrups and being on the lunge without stirrups etc. Saddle was checked in January and refitted so that's fine. Any exercise to help with this as I presume it's a core strength issue...

    Hunts in South Beds/Herts/Bucks area?

To keep trying or to depart from my best friend

This is exactly her! Been through every possible avenue with her if it could be something physical even a full vetting with bloods but nothing has come up, and she works completely fine at home! I feel the same about my mare, we've had a great time so I just feel I'm being greedy for asking her...

I previously said she'd had the same feed for several years, made no change and a full vetting and perfectly sound no issues.

This is exactly what I was thinking, also she's been prodded around enough and it's unfair to keep digging for more and more if that's all she's saying is that she's just had enough.

I asked my vet about this and he said he wouldn't suspect them but said if I wish to investigate further to get in contact so may be something that I'll do next, thank you.

Hmm not thought about changing the saddle as she was fine with it before and having it regularly checked altered, my saddler is very thorough and talks me through what she is doing like you've just explained, she's had all the other possible issues you've mentioned already checked. Her back...

Awhh! She is fantastic, taught my boyfriend to ride and he enjoys an hour hack (only if he's allowed the expensive dressage saddle, as she's only allowed the best!) I don't think I can sell her on until I'm 100% sure there's no physical issue going on even though I am 99% sure.

Yep, this is why I'm at a loss of what to do but she needs to be happy and I'm not going to force her to do something she doesn't want to do. What would cutting out her hard feed do? She's only on cool&collected with happy hoof.
