Hi
I am going to university in Bristol and looking to take my showjumper with me, I was just wondering if anyone knew of any showjumpers who offer livery/may let me base and train with them during term time? Ideally wanting part/flexible type livery and preferably someone who trains as well...
Oh no - the divided views haven't helped but thank you all for your responses. I feel I should mention the possibility of uni but perhaps emphasise on it not being set in stone? Definitely am going to meet them and mention it in person as I am seriously interested and committed for at least 6...
Hi all
I've got a working pupil position offered to me and its something I really want to do, but, I'm unsure whether I should tell them that I'm potentially only going to be staying for 6 months (approx) or whether I shouldn't as plans aren't 100%. I basically have a university place offered...
Highly recommend it - sent my horse away for a few weeks due to other commitments/for confidence and it did us both the world of good, I then had a few lessons afterwards with the rider who had schooled her. Personally didn't know the peiple beforehand but I just made sure I did my research and...
Hi
I was just wondering if anyone could recommend any showjumpers that take working pupils with training/stabling for 1 own horse in return? Ideally, want 1st hand recommendations and people that are fair to the horses - I have seen/heard too many horror stories so want to be relatively...
I recently visited, I found the trams were most convenient to get around and closest to access where I stayed, the underground was also really straightforward as well. Bought tickets for the SRS online & printed at home, but lots did pick them up from the box office.
Easiest way to get around...
Hi all
I moved to a yard recently which is perfect aside from that with all the wet weather recently (fields don't seem to drain well at all), there is now no turnout until the spring and horses all in 24/7. I've never had this before and really struggling to get used to it, although my horse...
I'm not asking how they are used, I'm asking how they are held - I don't think there's anything wrong with widening knowledge and asking a complete anti-inflammatory question that evidently has been blown out of proportion. A comparison between draw reins and blowing up the Houses of Parliament...
I have no plans on using them, as I've already said I never have. I was asking out of curiosity so an actual answer rather than remarks and personal opinions would be nice!
Hi
I was just wondering how draw reins are held and best positioned to be used effectively and correctly? If the snaffle rein sits between the normal fingers, where does the draw rein go? It might seem a silly question, but I've never ridden with them and so just curious.
TIA!
Hello,
I was wondering whether anyone knew of the average/minimum width of a skinny fence (Length ways) at British eventing levels 80/90/100? Skinnies are particularly our weak point and want to practise them jumping the worst case scenario...
Thanks :)
