    Any photographers/camera geeks on here?

Nikon D90 myself with the 18-105 lens & a 70-300 lens. For indoor stuff, even with good lighting, you really have to push the ISO setting. Even if flash was permitted, you're generally too far away for it to be effective. The longer lens is good, and you can always pick it up later when budget...

Natural Horsemanship. Is it just a circus act?

Completely off the wall, I came across an observation from an American trainer a couple of weeks ago. Basically he put it like this. A "traditional" (am not happy with the expression, but can't think of another) requires the horse to learn human language. A NH learns the horses language...

Question re.: free to good home

What makes you so judgemental? I'm pleased you kept your old horse; I intend the same when mine gets old. I don't agree with passing on an older horse just as you, but again, just as you I wouldn't have it killed because it suited me.

Question re.: free to good home

Couldn't agree more. It never fails to surprise me how many horse people have absolutely no empathy with their horse and treat them as mere commodities. (I do however have a wry smile when they say PTS rather than kill them.)

If you hate horse abuse at top international shows look at this, and help.

So, because much worse happens, we don't condemn this? I suppose using that logic, because murder happens, we accept assault? If you care about horses, do something. If not, don't, but don't try & justify it.

    locked stiffle

I think it's unusual for a stifle to lock when galloping (or really in any motion). It's more usually something that happens when the horse has been standing for a while & the patella has moved & doesn't release. Sounds like something else is going on. BTW, no expert :)

EXCITED!!! Pony going to Parelli guy next week!

Congrats OP for picking up on probably the most contentious issue on H&H. As I'm sure you have realised there are a good few folks who disagree with the Parelli methods. (I looked at page 1 & page 12 - the rest was predictable) There are a couple of video links which are "uncomfortable"...

Can anyone tell me what movements are in Prelim 10 please?

Everyone probably knows this already, but you can download tests with diagrams from dressagediagrams.com There are other sites as well. Google it & a number come up.

    Best Gloves... HELP PLEASE...

From a couple of AA batteries? I hope not, but if anything develops I'll be the first to scream. :) Wouldn't think they'd be allowed to sell them if there was an issue though.
