Getting really frustrated by one of the geldings I have just bought, both horses have been kept together prior to me purchasing them and have grown a little too attached to one another. The older gelding is much worse and shouts constantly for the younger one even if just taken out of his stable...
Aww no, healing vibes coming your way.
Also had an utterly rubbish day too, set off to show this morning with friends mare and foal and got all the way there after 2 hours travelling to find it was cancelled. Had got up to muck out at work at 4 😒
Then saw other show was on so...
I was my mare's mane twice a weak in tea tree shampoo, and then use cowboy magic rose water conditioner mixed with megatek afterwards.
After washing run Argan oil through the mane and mane had grown massively.
Agree with flyde saddles recommendation, best thing I have ever bought my mare. Fits fantastically and they take up the leg nicely. Keep an eye out for them second hand as there's some fab ones about.
Mine has a masta bug rug, they were on sale from hope valley saddlery for £40 I think and also a cheaper best on horse standard fly rug. Both fit lovely and suit horses with bigger shoulders.
Please could I have your recommendations for a waterproof exercise sheet and saddle cover that will keep saddle and horse as dry as possible please. Thanks in advance.
Derby house rugs are quite true to size I find so don't think it would fit. Hope Valley have got some good deals just got a masta bug rug for £45 including postage.
I have a kit to take to shows and then my stuff for prep the day/morning before in two seperate boxes. Both are grooming boxes that are also mounting blocks as perfect for home and away. Works well for me, also have a bathing kit for home and a small spot washing kit for at shows in case of...
Agree with what others have said that the snuggy hoods ones are good, but also the Masta Bug Rug is what I currently use and has worked very well on mine. It's also worth considering the fly protection spray/gel you are using as this can be a large help alongside your rug.
Very glad to hear that your confidence is getting stronger and that your progressing with your horse well. As someone who has struggled significantly with their confidence in the past, it's all about finding a horse that you trust and not only builds your confidence on them but on other horses...
I use the AlvaTeaTree Shampoo it gives a fab clean on the coat and is full of essential oils, smells amazing and gives a fantastic clean. I always use it to bath and makes them look lovely and smell lovely!
