He’s been like this since I’ve had him and before I got him, had everything checked and not in pain, he’s just a worrier under saddle and to be worked with, same with lunging. Just needs something to chill him out a bit because it’s almost impossible to work with him when he’s upset

Sorry to sound dim, but what does a drop nose band do? I've only ever used a grackle, flash and cavesson on any of the horses I've ridden so I'm not sure about anything else x

Also he will open his mouth to avoid the bit to try to get to something he wants, could be to say hello to another horse in the field next to him (ridden in his field) or my bag that I hang in the fence because he knows that I hide the treats in there!

Jay archer owns elite equines, he is Sams husband, but he runs a separate business to meadow stables. Don't go near either of them, sick horses (some have been PTS as a result) wrongly advertised (a lot of their "super safe" horses are incredibly dangerous)
