£24m for Heather

lol knew somebody would say that! I don't hate her but there was a stage when the world was against her - and that was just before she got the "Katie price and peter andre show".

Alright, scrub that, not Jordan then but you get the general point!
grin.gif

I think once some of the details of the proceedings come out there will be even more public dislike of the woman....she can be 'economical with the truth' apparently.

Agree with above, I like Jordan too!
Macca however, well, she just makes me really cross! I know that often marital money is split 50/50, but that is surely where the wife has actually contributed to that money, be it by working herself or looking after the home/children/supporting her husband. Can't see what she has actually done in that sense?
I just don't understand why she is entitled to 24 million of the money he had before meeting her? Child support yes, but why the money? I know it is the law, but what has she done to deserve that? Especially when so many people are out there desperate for money to survive. Grrr.

Its good tat she does charity work and everytinh...
but i hate her- or how she comes across

I did find it quite funny though on the tv this morning, how shes just got 24million out of her ex, and is trying to get people to like her by going 'im going to donate some of it to charity' like then everyone will love her.

Nasty people can give to charity too, i think now its more for publicity and getting people to like her than because she cares

If you read the judgement (posted in another thread), the judge basically calls her a lying cow!! Although not in so many words.
He was obviously not impressed with her evidence and that is why she was whinging about not letting the judgement become public.

I read a bit more about this in the paper today, and apparently Macca pays for Beatrice's schooling and nanny, so the £35,000 doesn't even have to pay for that. I have been through a divorce so am definitely not against the wife getting a fair share, but this is worked out on the length of the marriage and how much they contributed to it, which in her case doesn't seem to have been very much. I think she needs to be careful because if she carries on acting in such an unhinged manner she may well find she loses custody as well.

I cant say that i hate someone that i dont personally know but she is NOT my cup of tea, after claiming to be a victim of the media when she was on GMTV but at the same time she has milked the media... why should she has 24milliom of HIS money, calculating cow is what i call her..
The judgement is public and can be viewed on BBC's website buit its more than 60 pages long..so naaaah i cant be asked to read it

On this mornings news, among the ridiculous claims she was asking for was £30000 p.a. for horses. She doesn't even ride!

What gets me the most is that she complained that she "only" gets £35000 per year for the little girl....thats £100 per DAY !!!!!!!

I'm afraid I hate them both. Actually I think they deserve each other.

Here here

PM makes me feel physicaly sick, she is a whingeing cow, who insults all the single mums who cope on a pittance. However I dont think that a special case should be made for PM just because he a allegedly a national treasurte etc. If he was anyone else whe would be expected to pay a large chunk of his income to his ex wife and child. I take the moral highground. I have never taken a penny from my ex in maintenace, nor would I want it (not that he ever offered). If I had been with PM I might think differently, however I would need it to help with my disabilty of being blind and deaf!

I heard that too and asked for like £20,000 for wine and she doesn't even drink!

I have always thought she was a gold digger and effectively preyed on Macca when he was down following Linda's death. I reckon she has calculated it from the very beginning...

She said in the news that the daughter only got £35000 per year and got to fly B class while he flies A class and that she will pay the rest !! Yeah with the money that he gave her to start with AND how many 4 year old get £35000 per year spent on them ? Thats more than double than most of us make in year
The woman is unbelivable..

[/ QUOTE ]

i heard that bit on the radio - oh dear poor child having to fly B class. It wont kill her, and i'm sure the 35K a year will soften the blow.

The woman absolutely disgusts me.

My thoughts exactly, must be the most expensive shag in history, as I said before if he had been a building or factory worker she wouldn't have looked twice at him or thrown him her wooden leg if he had been drowning, it's all so cold and mercenary, lets send her a box of woodworm.

I can't say I like her but then people with such strong personalities do tend to be not very likeable, but I do admire her charity work.

I would say from her behaviour she has received more flak than she ever could have dreamed happening, and her recent behaviour will be because no-one no matter how tough they appear could withstand the hatred aimed at her.
Think of how marital money is normally divided up: often 50/50 .£25 million is a small percentage of PM's wealth and future earnings, she however is totally unemployable for the rest of her life I would imagine.

I can't warm to her I admit but would you like to be perceivably the most hated woman in the UK at the moment?

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree, I dont like following what sells the media like sheep and heaping vitriol on someone. She hasnt murdered anyone, divorces are always nasty and it isnt any different from any other divorce between monied people. The only thing that she has done "wrong" is that she is a bit gobby and cant resist the urge to speak out. Its hardly the worst thing in the world but it makes her look bad especially because she has dared to criticise a Beatle!

Paul McCartney has had a damned easy life and has probably lived surrounded by flunkies for the past 30 years or so. I suspect he is actually quite spoilt. No-one made him marry her, it was his choice. Its a pity his good fortune doesnt extend to nobless oblige in respect of his ex wife and mother of his child instead of being quite happy to let her hang herself and drag it out through the courts. All for the sake of saving some of his many millions. If he wanted a quiet, downtrodden woman then perhaps he should have chosen a more plain, less characterful person nearer his own age instead of a glam blond!

Not impressed by the judge either. Judges have a tendency to be blinded by celebrity and their faviourite lawyers. Heather McCartney had to defend herself in the highest profile divorce case in this country in the past 10 years, not exactly an easy task. OK, so she made some mistakes. She didnt spend a fortune on the top divorce lawyers in the country. And btw its actually quite common for parties in divorces to misrepresent the costs at issue. But it was hardly a battle of equals, was it?

I dont think Paul McCartney comes out of this well at all but if you believe he is some kind of saint because he is a fading pop star, then I guess his public persona means he can do no wrong...I suspect he is hardly an angel behind closed doors.

Headless she didnt HAVE to represent herself at all, she chose to do so because she didnt 'trust' anyone else to put her case forward the way she wanted it to be put....in other words they wouldnt bend the truth for her.

I know many people have a poor opinion of judges but believe me they really do NOT behave in the way you have stated at all. I found the Judges comments to be very toned down given whats come to light about HM over the past few months.

Well I dont particularly like PM as a person, big bank account big ego, same mardy face as Parkinson, I like his music and he is very talented though, faded, dont think so, think you may be a lttle jealous of his success.

LOL that made me laugh. I can assure you jealousy of PM has never crossed my mind. He is so before my time I could´nt even name any of his songs but I did see him close the Brit Awards and thought he had really lost it - the ability to hold a tune that is.

I just dont buy into this saint thing just because he was in a band that had a lot of fans once. But I prefer to think for myself about things and really this divorce is no different to many others so I dont think HM deserves the vitriol heaped upon her. And I dont consider it a good day for justice where someone who could not afford the best divorce lawyer in the country has to represent themselves - access to justice is a real problem in this country and judges are well known for coming down hard on litigants who represent themselves - I should know, I am a lawyer.

I think in future times we will see her VERY successfully making LOTS of money. She will be VERY employable. TV shows, radio shows, magazine interviews, books going to press......Her income will soon be chasing her divorce settlement figure.

Sorry Pedantic - can you explain your "Yeah right" comment? Or is it merely an attempt at pointless sarcasm. I sincerely hope you are not casting doubt upon my being a solicitor.

Well given that your information is incorrect it does seem a bit strange Headless.

She CHOSE to represent herself.
