£24m for Heather

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of either of them. However, regarding Beatrice and there ''only'' being an allocated amount of £35,000 a year, I'm pretty sure PM wouldn't really let her go without and I'm sure she'll get gifts, holidays etc etc from him that he'll pay for outside of the money HM gets so I can't really see what she's got to moan about in that department. In regards to her legal representation I was under the impression that between them they were using the teams that represented Charles and Diana and HM made the decision to get rid of whoever was dealing with her case and represent herself. I might be wrong because I haven't followed the case that closely but I don't really see that she's got too much to moan about.
 
Oh, for goodness sake, Pedantic. How idiotic! It is a shame that your pedantic nature does not extend to the very basic knowledge that a solicitor is a type of lawyer, lawyer being a generic term that covers solicitors, advocates (or barristers) and academic lawyers. In fact all those who have a law degree used for proffesional purposes.

And I thought it was well known that HM "chose" to represent herself because she is not quite so rich as her ex husband. Perhaps you are lucky and have never experienced the tens and hundreds of thousands of pounds that employing high profile lawyers costs. But access to justice for those who are not eligible for legal aid yet not mega rich is a real problem.

So I do not think it a particularly bright day for British justice when a non-legally represented litigant is torn to shreds and publicly humiliated as a result of a high profile divorce case in which her former husband is represented by the most elite divorce lawyers in the country.

As I said before though, I dont necessarily believe what i am told to by the media. Not saying HM is a saint, just that she hasnt really done anything to deserve the vitriol heaped upon her.
 
Just to point out that, although it may be hard to believe, HM did apparantly stop using her legal team because she was running out of funds. Which I suspect is entirely true. They run away with pounds, with no end in sight. And if she had no income beyond basic interim maintenance and didnt want to get into debt or dispose of her assets, then its entirely understandable. We are not exactly talking about a small divorce with fees of a few thousand. Didnt she start representing herself after paying one bill of #500,000? Not the only bill either...

So she represented herself, with no prior legal knowledge, against the most elite divorce legal team in the country. Which legal team reneged on an agreement to settle at the very last minute, therefore choosing to drag the whole matter through the courts, to save PM a small proportion of his vast fortune. Quite a dirty tactic. Especially against a person representing themselves.

, anyway, as long as we can believe what the judge wrote in his report, then she turned out to be a real liar, we can really see why she didn't want it going public, or are you going to tell me we cant beleive what his worship wrote , your worship, she got what a conniving gold digger deserved, well actually a lot more.
