1 year old and broken to ride and drive!!!

Right that settles it....I think you should have to have a licence to keep horses because it's clearly just beyond some people. :(

My 4yo section A was being driven as a yearling.. Police removed him from those persons of no fixed abode as he was being driven in a very busy road by more than two big men, and was all skin and bone and sores etc..

He's had 18 happy months with me so far learning to love people and be a pony..

People anger and frustrate me..

That's disgusting. Also hate the fact that the website it's on says it sells used stuff in Wolverhamptom. As far as I know, a horse is not a 'stuff':mad::mad:

Agree.
Not going to mention the spelling, grammer and horse sense is clearly lacking from the advert!:eek: My eight year old can write better than that.
Poor pony. :(:(:(

Travelling community clearly, but that is no excuse in any way shape or form. The overweight sack of spuds sampling the colt needs to have an appointment with weightwatchers. Then learn how to care for a hamster. He, and horses should not be kept together...

That lad sat on him.... :( makes me sick!

I agree that owners should have to pass a course or something before buying.

Another bug bear is he's tethered. I'm not a fan. Poor baby.

I live in the black country and we do have a lot of tethered horses locally. I have always assumed they belonged to traveller families who have settled.

We have a huge problem with loose horses here too.

I'm tempted to text the number with a few choice words, Look at the spelling etc of the advert.

Completely feel the same, not usually prone to overwhelming feelings of rage but I really want to punch that fat git sitting on that poor poor baby :-( excuse my appalling language but am so angry- such pathetic excuses for human beings- loss of grazing? Looks like the pony is chained up on public land somewhere anyway!
Would someone seriously buy a pony from such a shocking advert?

Not trying to nit pick, but technically he's 2, ad says rising 2, so as long as he's 2 this year is classed as 2 as of 1st Jan this year. Although bad enough to be fully broken at 2, but not quite as bad as doing a yearling.

Poor little thing :( I saw similar when I was looking for a cheap little pony for a companion- a shetland 2yo was described as 'not properly broken but my 9yo daughter has been galloping and jumping him bareback in the field for the last year' complete with picture of girls legs touching the floor :(

It's strange this sort of thing - because you don't get conversation on here much about how it's terrible that 2yr old horses are in racing, but if it's any other horse seen it causes outrage. (Not aimed at you at all - I just picked your post!:) )

Could someone explain to me (as I may have missed something) why everyone starts jumping up and down shouting 'we must rescue this horse' as in the 'sad advert' thread, but here with this poor pony, all everyone is saying is just how awful it is?? Why the different attitudes, when in my opinion, their conditions aren't that different?
