Solocomb!!!

I have had the original Solocomb (yes, the same one all this time!) since it was first lauched but it is finally getting old and creaky, so I bought a Solocomb MKIII to replace it.

After two manes the blades seized open. I rang the company who were very surprised and extremely apologetic. He sent me out a replacement by first class post and included one of their retractable brushes as a goodwill gesture. No quibble, no proof of purchase needed, no need to return the faulty item.

Brush, incidentally, is fabulous and used all the time now our collies are in full shedding mode!

Who have you have fantastic customer service from?

Horseware ireland/Rambo. Had a Rambo duo, but found that the neck cover was too small for my "average" necked horse. They happily sent my a free Larger neck cover so my horse will no longer be throttled when she eats this winter! I only contacted them to let them know and then may have enquired about buying a larger neck cover, so was more than happy with their offer.

Not horse related but, Argos of all people. Was due to move on a specific date so ordered a few bits from them to be delivered on the day I was due to move. Move was postponed (bloody Estate agents!!!) but I forgot to change the address on the order. Delivery driver rang to say he was almost at new address. Cue me in horror, panic mode. Explained situation, driver ever so helpful and nice, phoned head office, who phoned me to confirm address, he then delivered and then the driver even phoned to confirm they had done it (I was at work) So impressed.

Another one was Emma Bridgwater pottery, ordered some bit for new house, delivered broken and chipped. Must have happened in the post but all was well wrapped. Sent them an e-mail and they asked me to e-mail them a photo of the damage so I didn't have to post it all back. Sent the photo and with in two days the replacements arrived. Well impressed.

I don't often feel as a customer I get good service but on these occasions was super happy!

I ordered some rugs from Equineclearance to be delivered at my home. The day before I'd signed for the package and as he was driving past stopped and asked if I had ordered anything from an equine company recently I said yes, two rugs were due to arrive from Equestrian Clearance and he let me sign for them there

Second frogpool Manor - bought a myler combination bit and asked if they sell sheepskin that I could put round the noseband string, and from what I can gather, they broke open one of those packs that you can put on headcollars (3 piece pack) and sent me a bit FOC.

Also Mattes - I bought a saddlecloth for about £110 - black with red sheepskin, the red colour kept running everytime my white horse sweated and kept dying him pink! (Permanent!!) They were most apologetic and sent me some cream to remove the colour from horses coat and a replacement saddlecloth (natural fleece this time!! - apparently spooks has wierd sweat which makes colour run!!!)

Cavaletti get my vote, two christmasas ago I rang to order some breaches for my sister as I wasn't sure of the size in inches (only in dress size, which wasn't on the web) Not only did they help me order, they suggested a different cheaper pair, which were of the same quality and sent some free gloves for her as well. Helpful, charming and so easy to deal with.

I second 4dobbin. I have ridiculously sized size 2 feet & teeny short legs so adult long boots are far too big for me.

I managed to track down a childs long leather pair on their site but still wasn't sure of fit. They were really, really helpful with the sizing & very friendly.

And strangely enough, ASDA. I'd bought a few tops & bits from their George range & some of it was in the sale. Anyway, was in a hurry so didn't check receipt until I'd got home & then saw I'd been charged full price instead of half price for something.

Went back a few days later & not only did I get a refund on the overcharge but also a £5.00 gift card for the inconvenience. I was pleased they'd sorted the refund with no hassle let alone a gift card as well!

NEW Equine Wear.

I bought some XC boots from a nameless online shop and ordered flexi cannon guards not stiff ones. Nameless online shop refused to exchange without the order number which I didn't have because the person who'd ordered them was on hols. I needed the boots for the weekend, so rand NEW as I was going past their factory. They were super-helpful, swapped them then and there for me and were brilliant to deal with. I gave them a box of chocs to say thankyou as it was all a bit above and beyond the call of duty!

Pro-Lite. I forgot to take the cannon bone protectors out of my xc boots when I washed them and they managed to rub on the washing machine and get ruined. I contacted Pro-Lite to see if they sold them seperately - and they've offered to send me some FOC.

Thank you Pro-Lite.

Equestrian Direct insurers. Service above and beyond at all times. On top of that, it's not often a member of staff of your insurance company, who has a horse with liver problems the same as one of mine, posts you pix and instructions how to make a full face/full nose sun protector mask! Good on you Equestrian Direct!
