God, I love foals!

thanks, all of you! The vet has just phoned to say that he's on his feet, found the milk bar and has had a poo! Mum is doing well too so I think we can all go to bed now:)

hmmm.....breeding.......you knew someone was gonna say it......honestly my very first thought on seeing the title.

Are you going to post this on every foal thread for the next few months? I don't know about the planning behind Fairynuff's foal, but assuming it is well bred and wanted then it is sad that someone wants to rain on her parade. I agree there are numerous badly put together and ill bred foals and there should be a stop put to that, but not breeding entirely.

I'm sorry. I won't comment again - I just feel that breeding in the UK is out of control, and that there are far too many horses needing homes.

Lovely colt OP. It appears the OP may not be in the UK from her location so a moot point really on the breeding in the uk. Little one is here now anyways so either way no point in discussing the breeding situation after the event. Maybe on should I breed threads but not welcoming foals.

Congratulations Fairynuff, he's lovely. And Shysmum, just because there are too many poor quality animals out there doesn't mean the production of good ones should stop. Where will the next generation of competition animals come from if none are bred?

Shysmum. I bred him because there is a market forhim (if I choose to sell!) His dam is a very well bred, fully registered Quarter Horse This is her dams sire.......

Before you judge you need to know what and who you are judging.
An apology wouldn't be amiss :)

Aw he's gorgeous! I do so want another foaly... one day when I'm rich maybe :)
I don't think people should stop breeding, there's always a market for well bred, well produced horses. The unwanted horses are mostly poorly bred and poorly produced horses. It should be quality not quantity

Seriously? Why is there always one person on here that has to be poisonous with their comments.

OP - lovely little guy, can't wait to see his progress. :)
