2011 Aims???

To get to BE100 with my horse Jack. And to compete at the royal highland show in side saddle and if possible working hunter - although the wh jumps are scary!

And for my little mare Ellie to have a healthy foal (its her first time and mine at breeding)
she is a TB so have put her to an ID.

To try and get my youngster to our first BE by the end of the season. Only BE80, possibly BE90. It's a long shot, however if we did achieve it I would be over the moon :).

Well, I don't like making plans as they invariably go wrong, but I usually have a couple of general "aims" :)

- To event new boy, and compete in PN classes, as we can do the 4&5 year old PN, plus maybe a FEH qualifer
- To do lots of pony club competitions and the odd working hunter, and Aim for Irish pony club champs for eventing at PN level :)
- Generally work towards the 5 year old champs at osberton; no biggie if we don't :)

I don't really know what to specifically aim for; as he is so big he should in theory take more time, but as he is very athletic he may find it very easy!
Those are general aims; I am in no hurry with him as I have 5 years to do the under25 class at tatts ;) :p

Also, I will be doing normal camp for the first time in 4 years - we have south african pony clubbers coming over to visit here and since I went to them, I have to do camp and one will be living with me for 2 weeks! :D

To manage to compete a bit more (or even ride at all!) would be nice. Hopefully to qualify for something, the Novice Regionals and Elementary AF perhaps, or at least try and maintain our run of consistent scores.

Ditto only_me as with the plans! But I'd say to event at PC novice, should be fairly do-able! :) Also maybe start thinking about PC intermediate... but that's a long shot! :p

My biggest aim is to try and get Remy to Intermediate BE!!! He finished this season cruising BE100's so we're onto Novice early coming season. Trainer thinks he's got the ability for advanced so hoping that if he goes well at Novice (my original life's ambition for us both) we might try a cheeky Int before the close of 2011 seaon.   Also have to hope that the jockey's got the ability too ;) ;)

So I will be needing lots of HHO vibes in 2011 please folks!!! :D Can't believe there was a time that walking in a straight line was an achievement and that our original life's ambition was just to get to novice and now the "A" word is sneaking into conversations!!

Thanks for posting this thread HYW, it's cheered me up no end, have got that "eventing excitement" feeling which I haven't had for months!!!! And also has given me a boost to remember why I'm working my *ss off in this bloomin snow!! :D :D

Rowan:
Bring him back into work safely :p
Compete in young dressage horse class with him.
Do prelim and move up to novice by the end of the season.
Teach him to jump and do some clear round/ 2ft sj classes with him.
Enter a county showing class!

Dancer:
Get her used to white boards!
Compete in Novice and maybe get up to elem by winter.
Take her xc ing.

Lola:
Back her and ride her away.
Enter some showing and do well. If all is good, maybe enter county showing in hand.

Murphy - hopefully we will successfully negotiate a BE intermediate, and early 1*. Fingers crossed a 2* before the end of the season (this has been my aim for the last 3 seasons, and with injuries we still haven't got there!)

Jem - do well at the badminton grassroots champs. Consolidate BE100, and hopefully either an end of season novice or sell her.

Betty - start out at BE90, depending how she takes to eventing and if she is ready possibly get her up to novice by the end of the season.

Colin - find him a lovely new home to do dressage.

Millie - put her back in foal

Celeste - CHAPS and SHGB yearling classes.

To be warm..... :) I'm fortunate that I have been able to ride up until today but am having to dig deep for motivation when it is minus stupid!

Riding wise, aims are to complete a 1* with the big lad and be jumping DC Newcomers by mid year. My little mare I hope to BE90 this season and then probably look to find her a new home mid season. Same is true with my new project who is currently turned away straight out of training. Am quite excited about a new ride I have next season as he is just a horse that makes everything feel incredibly easy. Will start at 90 and see where we progress!!

Professionally - to maintain my yard as it is now - I have a great bunch of liveries, and look to expand the teaching/clinic side of things.

Personally - to find time to have a life!!!! (nahhh - thats bound not to happen :) )

well i don't like to make 'plans' as such because it often means that things go wrong but i think its a good idea to have a general aim. so i would say that mine are:

- to carry on competing V at BE. he did a few intros this year and jumped DC so hoping to move up to PN and maybe even Novice. Whether i have the guts for Novice though could be a slight problem in that aim

- to qualify for the Trailblazers finals or the Riding Club eventing nationals

- for my TB to stay out on loan and not come back :p

but i have to say that if none of this happens i'll be happy if horses are happy and stay sound and i keep myself in one piece! :p

All being well keep madam sound after PSD, touch wood we're trotting now but it's a long way to go!

All being well carry on where we left off but at the moment am not wishing for anything more than a happy healthy horse.

-To get my mojo back for jumping above 90cm...
- Go to Chiltern and Thames Winter Finals in the Novice and Elementary
- Attempt a Medium Unaffiliated - if i did this it'd be beyond amazing
- Do a BE80 With Barry and have a nice, fun time while doing it
- to put less pressure on me

To be able to ride would be nice!

Roll on spring...

To get new youngster out hunting before the end of the season but that seems increasingly unlikely!! After owning her for 6wks have not managed to even ride much let alone jump! Hopefully by summer will be doing a bit more with a view to doing british novice etc. Also 2011 will be a well deserved easy year for my old mare now that ive got another!

Would love to be competing unaff 3' in SJ, XC and unaff ODEs (though 2'9 will do to start off!), working at Novice unaff DR, and hopefully have had a (succesful) go at BE80 by the end of the season....that would all be great! :) Along with having a happy, healthy Cash, who's enjoying his work and looks after me on the XC, I hope :)

To have my mare right & control her continuos seasons :(! nightmare atm.

Also to have her working aswell as she did 2 weeks ago before the hormones started & to compete in a dressage test & to go out hacking nicely again, before she thought she was a stallion!

Shaun:-
Competing at Novice confidently, with better dressage and comfortable at XC.
Getting him jumping fox again at the start of year, and hopefully getting our DC's in that - dependant on how that goes we might not event him again, and focus completely on his showjumping.

Me:-
Getting mojo back and getting rid of the snow and ice. And hopefully getting myself a horsebox that will get us from a to b!

SX

Get ponies fit!
Get at least one of them on at least 1 hunt!
Get Little Miss to some combined training shows and XC clinics, possible a couple unaffiliated ODE's at the end of the year and some hunter trials.
Get Olly's dressage going again, he was almost ready for Novice at the beginning of the year before my stupid illness got in the way . Will get him out jumping as well.

Make full advantage of being stabled (literally) next door to a XC course and having 2 more within 20 minutes drive.

Lots and lots of hacking and pub rides!

Something that should be doable *crosses fingers*

-hopefully I would love FH to realise that actually jumping at a competition is fun again and that he will realise he is able to do XC and SJ.

Something I would love...
-To requalify for the BRC eventing champs except at Int. not Nov. This was last years aim but due to injury and missing work we only did the Nov.

^^^Unlikely to happen but praying either will :o
