I haven't posted for a while and just pop in every now and then to the forum, but thought anyone who remembered our pregnancy and foaling in 2020 might like an update on Ollie, who will be two in May !
After deciding i couldn't do another winter with horses in two places, we moved him from his field herd last October, to my yard to live with my other horse and generally he has settled in well, my older boy is the boss but they get on very well, which is a relief.
He had a niggling foot abscess issue over winter and another one in other foot just recently which looks like is almost Ok now, thank goodness !
He is happy to be left in the field when I go hacking as long as he has mates he can see next door, has been stabled and started to settle very well in there when i do need to bring him in on the odd occasion
he is certainly bold, very intelligent and learns super fast.
I am loving the journey despite doubting my ability to react properly at times when he gets a bit cheeky or pushes the boundaries.
