This has been mentioned on the competition forum so I thought I'd post it here in case anyone has missed it.

50% off horse feed at http://store.thepurefeedcompany.com/ . Price includes delivery but you have to buy a minimum of 10 bags - ideal if you need to stock up for winter or have a yard.

The discount code is: FB2011 . Make sure you use capitals or it won't recognise it.

I'm so tempted to order 10 bags but have never tried it so not sure if it would be any good for my TB. He's a poor doer, anyone fed their conditioning feed?

I've just ordered their conditioning feed but obviously won't know for a couple of weeks and I don't know how long the promotion is running for. :(

If it's no good I'll just mix it with other food until it's all gone. lol.

It's supposed to be through facebook. The t&cs are on the fb page.

Its on all their feeds. You just need to type in the code at checkout.

I ordered some just before I posted this thread.

It needs to be in capitals FB2011 - it did not recognise fb2011. And then the discount popped up straight away.

Me too. I have ordered 11 bags (4 balancer, 7 condition) and should last me six months. I am able to stop lots of supplements, and topspec balancer by feeding this. The balancer bags are 20kg, the feed bags are £15kgs. If you email them they are very helpful. My order is coming thursday!

Thistle, it's a MINIMUM of 10 bags.

I'm gonna get my Mum to order another 10 bags for me. That should be my winter sorted then. :D

I'm so organised this year! I've even bought my hay in bulk. Now I can sit back and let the winter weather do it's worst.

These bags are not the equivalent of mixes. They are the equivalent of a mix AND a chaff. They recommend feeding 400 - 600g per horse per day which means that each bag will only last 6 days on average per horse. That is fine and I nearly ordered 66 sacks. However, that would only last me two months for my lot and I would have to change them back again to their normal feed afterwards as when the price goes back to normal with no discount, then it is too expensive. Also when buying in bulk, check the use by date as often it is only 2 - 4 months.

My 17.2 needs 2kg a day bags at 15kg each means as the website states lasts him one week. No need to add chaff and current feed I have to feed 3kg so even at full price compares very favourably to what I pay now! Off to order my 10 bags :)

I think the bags are 15kg each...i know i'm feeding a lot less than i used to with my previous feed and the horses look way better. i got the diet plan service done. anyone get their horses weighed by pure feed yet? would love to know how taht goes...!

Just want to add that I got mine today and I'm very happy.

The best before dates on mine are all for the end of March so I'm well chuffed.

Ps it is a max of 10 bags at 50% off not minimum!

Oh bugger. That means I am going to have to badger everyone I know that has a paypal account to order me an extra 10 each!!!!

Wagtail - I am planning to feed my 17hh dressage horse for six months on 11 bags (4 balancer, 7 condition) so I am not sure where you get that one bag doesnt last a week per horse.

I am feeding 600gms condition feed a day and 450gms balancer which means my horse gets all his needs met. And no longer needs foot supplement adding separately. He also has adlib haylage.

This is at a cost of about £17 a month (whilst half price) which will rise to a still competitive £34 a month once offer finishes.

It is flexible that I can easily increase / decrease the ratio of balancer to COndition feed according to his weight over winter.

IT's 400-600g per 100kg for mine which works out at 3.6 kg day for my big lad. It's less than the 800g/100kg that I currently have to feed although I'm a bit worrried that it is a chaff mix rather than a concentrate mix. Anyone got any experience with the condition mix? If I only had to feed the one bag then I wouldn't be complaining. Just intrigued to know if it's worth it. The only Scottish outlet is at the opposite end of the country so no option to go and just buy some to try!

If you feed 500g per day, which is half a kg, then a 15 kg bag should last you 30 days.

Edited: just saw it's 500 g for 100 kg body weight, that makes sense now :)

Hi guys - I'm the nutritionist at The Pure Feed Company and thought I would just jump and an answer a few questions that are appearing on here :) Yes, our bags are all 15kg apart from our Pure Balance which is 20kg. All the fibre based feeds (Pure Easy, Working, Condition, Stud and Racing) are complete feeds in one bag and they already contain our high specification balancer (Pure Balance) so there is no need to feed anything else alongside them. All our feeds have a 6 month shelf life on them.
The Pure Condition is our best seller at this time of year - it has a dense supply of slow releasing energy which supplies all the safe calories needed for winter and is perfect for horses who tend to lose weight during this time of year.
With the 50% offer discount code, the MAXIMUM order is 10 bags and you just have to become a fan of our Facebook page to get hold of this great code!
Let me know if any of you have any other questions you want me to answer - I am more than happy to help!
Happy Pure Feeding. Anna x
