Bit sad really. The friend that I was going to go out with this afternoon (had to go to school this morning for an Open Day) lost her horse yesterday! (colic)
It was dreadful! The yard called me out of a meeting yesterday for an 'emergency' - I was a gibbering wreck to think it was H! The secretary was nearly in tears, too. But when I heard it was my friend's male friend and not the YO, I knew what it was (they wanted her home number as they couldn't reach her), so although I knew it was bad news, I was SO relieved.
She has had him since he was a baby (14 now) and I know she will miss him terribly. He has been poorly with all sorts for about a year, so I know he's out of pain now and gone to a better place. But I just couldn't face going up there this afternoon.
