Has anyone elses horse got endless amounts of energy?
Gin is now in 'boot camp' and is on her second day. Her hard feed has been cut right down and she is being lunged before being ridden.
I have never known a horse have such a paddy just because she doesnt want to go forward. If only it was that simple. She is quite happy to go forward and run but she isnt properly forward. as soon as you ask her to go forward and use herself she has a complete tantrum and turns herself inside out. This happens as soon as you apply the leg, she stops bunny hops, bronks, rears you name it she does it. All because she doesnt want to be in front of the leg and use her hindlegs. The arena was frozen this morning so didnt want to push her too far, think as soon as it defrosts I might have to be prepared to push her trhrough it and risk falling off
Have a lesson booked for friday so hopefully I will get some useful tips.
Hopefully she will have graduated by Sunday
