I have been around for a while, but don't post that often, so not sure who on here remembers me. I lost my beautiful Cassie a few weeks ago. It came completely out of the blue and she was just 13. She suddenly became very unwell and within 48 hours she was diagnosed with lymphoma, with no hope of a recovery, so she was pts straight away. She was the most amazing, sassy and incredible little mare, she was my absolute best friend and I adored her.

Literally the day after I lost Cassie, an advert popped up for another little bay mare just a few miles away. I really didn't feel ready to see her, but with my head ruling my heart, I did. She ticked all my boxes and sailed through the vetting. I am currently lurching between being excited about Maddie, but still devastated about Cassie. Cassie came into my life when I needed her, and I think Maddie has done the same. I shall be shedding tears for Cassie for months to come, but hopefully Maddie will help me keep putting one foot/hoof in front of the other. xxx

So sorry to hear about Cassie, you two certainly looked a true partnership. Maddie is gorgeous, what a cracking type. I'm sure she has come into your life for a reason.

So sorry about you losing Cassie, she was beautiful. I'm a great believer that animals find us for a reason, I think Maddie has come into your life for a reason. Be kind to yourself, a sudden loss is so hard to get over (I still get sad at times over us losing my hubby's mare unexpectedly in 2017). It does get easier. Maddie is lovely. x

So sorry to hear about Cassie. I loved reading your reports and you were one of my absolute favourite HHO combinations. What an awful shock for you xx

Maddie looks cracking though. How old and what breeding is she?

So sorry about Cassie but Maddie will help you heal. I got my mare two days after having my gelding pts. She just arrived in my life. Didn't really like her or want her at first but wouldn't be without her now.

I am so, so sorry to hear you have lost your lovely Cassie. She looked a beautiful, sweet horse.

But, I feel sure you have ended up with Maddie for a reason. She looks a lovely horse, and I am sure she will help you through the sudden loss of Cassie.

This was just meant to be, and I hope you have lots of fun times together.

I'm so sorry about Cassie, I couldn't believe it when I saw it.

I 100% believe they come in to our lives when we need them for sure. Looking forward to seeing your adventures with Maddie x
