I've thought of something.
Parelli started me thinking that there might be more than one way to achieve my goals with horses. Like most, I mix and match, and I no longer think that Parelli is the best "NH" approach to use, but it did get me started. Originally I looked at the "Monty" stuff, but it seemed very limited and at the time gave no insight into ridden work.
Parelli did open up the world of liberty work to me, and that is something that I find really fascinating and fun to play around with. Not instead of riding of course, but it is another interesting thing I can do with my horses.
