A First Competition Venture

A few weekends ago I had a go at an Unaffiliated Intro test which was my first competition with my first horse and we came away with a fifth place frilly it was my first attempt at plaiting too

I'm looking forward to getting out and about a bit more with him now.

Well done you, you both look really smart and well turned out and your plaits are great! There’s nothing like the feel of your first ever rosette. I got mine 2 years ago for an Intro, the most nerve racking experience and I swore I’d never do another but of course I have 😊. Looking forward to reading more from you!

Thanks we've had some blips along the way as I'm sure most people have with their first so I was really made up that one of my comments was 'nice partnership' as I have worked really hard to become a better rider for him. He enjoyed being out and about and was a really good boy for me.

ahh that's fab. i think it's a lovely phrase to see on your sheet, it makes me happy when I get it on one of mine.

That's a lovely comment Finnbobs - a few blips are perfectly normal throughout horsey life, they are not only for first horse owners, we all get them.

That is very true! I'm not sure yet but I'd definitely like to do another one.

Thanks. He's so special to me and was so longed for that getting better for his sake in both riding and management is my main motivator for everything that I do I love the learning and the process.

I thought it was! That's my old yard. I have very happy memories of competing there over the years.
