Billy Twomey definitely cos he seems unflappable n so stylish. Marcus Ehning, Charlotte Dujardin or Carl Hester either. Love Mark Todd n Penelope Leprovot either
Id love to see john Whitiker on my mare, to see what she can really do without the numpty on top!!!
Eventers- to do dressage she needs someone who isnt going to get annoyed or get after her and just accept that her dressage may never be perfect but she is a jumping machine so someone like Phoebe Buckley would be perfect, or I love pippa funnel.
And dressage Im not sure she would need someone very quiet with lots of patience!!
My vote would be WFP love the way he rides and he always looks to be offering the reins forward whether jumping or doing dressage and every stride and jump looks effortless like he is doing nothing - but f he is busy I would settle for Carl Hester!
SJ - not only because he is such a fab rider who get the best out of any horse, but also for the humour factor - tubby little Geoff Billington on 17.2hh mega-chomp Maggie would just be a sight to behold! I bet she wouldn't know what had hit her, and might actually start jumping (which I can't really get her to do...)
Dressage-wise, John Bowen, because he trains her and loves her temperament - no self-respecting dressage rider would get on anything as un-flashy as Maggie unless they knew her!
Eventing - forget it, nothing the size of a bus can event anyway... though if I HAVE to pick one - Andrew Nicholson, for my pleasure only... (glasses on)
I'd also love to see John Whitaker jump him - be nice to see how well he can actually go without a numpty onboard who gets ahead of the movement and folds too much all the time!! JW makes it all look so effortless.
Chilli would love Mary King to sit on him. He thinks she'd give him confidence XC but not overface him showjumping. I think she'd find him quite similar to Apache Sauce to showjump 'cos he can be a bit haphazard & dangly. Chilli also thinks Mary'd be much better at schooling him on the flat than me.
I was going to say Mary King on my young welshie as well, surprised she didn't come up before! I think shed do wonders for Little Miss' confidence whilst at the same time going "No you WILL do it" and not taking any of her nonsense!
I'd like Phoebe Buckley on my cob, I think she'd get on well with him as even though he's nearly 10, he is still green and lacks confidence.
I think Beau would really like a nice little kid say 12 to 14 who has an independent seat and would leave him alone to do his thing (ie lazily at his own pace).
In terms of competing I think AN or MTodd, some one with some stickability who could come down on him like a ton of bricks when he is taking the mickey but has the sensetivity to be nice and give him confidence when needed.
Also I'd like to see what they could get out of him!
My eventer would love someone like Prince Harry to jump on or at least just talk to her over the stable door, so she could swoon, and flutter her eyelashes at him.
She'd probably also quite like a nibble of his jacket
Fugly would like the fieldmaster of any Leicestershire pack, preferably twice a week, and preferably one not known for hanging around whilst the 3yo would like anyone lighter than me .
Emerald would probably love to be ridden by Chris Bartle (in dressage mode!) he was ridden by AP as a racehorse first time round, so I doubt that could be topped! He is a mincing tart so dressage is his ultimate ambition.
Sov would love to be ridden by any legendary Leicestershire thruster, hedges and ditches and plenty of them!
Touchy would like to be ridden by somebody who would like a ramble like hack at a very sedate pace.
I've seen Mark Todd, Philip Dutton and Marie Ryan sit on one of mine, and I think he would pick Mark Todd of the lot.. Or maybe William Fix-Pitt. Although really he probably should be a dressage horse (he's an eventer by Sandro Hit!) so I would love to see someone like Carl Hester on him...
I also have a little mare who events but is bred to show jump, who I would love to see someone like Tina Fletcher ride... Just to see what she can really do! I've jumped her 1m45 but am too scared to try any more!!
She seems to have a fab sense of humour and at 5ft2 she would look perfect on my 15.2.
Seriously though, she is such a talented rider but seems to be forgotten. Perhaps its because she was based abroad for so long?
My two main horses, one would like no big name becaus then he may show how good he can go and have to work that hardfor the rest of his time,
The other has already been ridden by pippa funnell- who called him her favourite pony- (17hh advanced eventer) he lost a bit of street cred on the yard- and would probably choose a "pleb" who he wouldnt let catch him in field and that way he could spend all day grazing because he has earnt his retirement and the only jumping he does these days is to change fields or when he decides its time to come in to his box... or when mum is on board and tempted by the jumps that just happen to be up in school that day.
I think my horse would adore to be ridden by Edward Gal. Because of his impeccable timing and perfect hands. , and I think he'd go well for him. But possibly is too small. So, if not Edward, Imke Bartels.
Would have to be Tony McCoy-my boy needs somebody with a no non-sense approach (and he seems to get on better with men!) AP would be perfect.......now just to pursuade him to give up some of his time to ride an oppinionated (SP??!!) so & so lol!!
