A friendly game of 'who can find the worst dog ad'

This thread is making my blood boil. So much so that I contacted the RSPCA about one of the dogs mentioned early on. They had no idea the owner was having problems and are arranging for the dog to go back to them.
I wouldn't sell a sofa on preloved because you just son't know exactly what might turn up on your doorstep to collect it so why do people sell their pets on it. Grrrrr.

How are the dogs inbreed if their different breeds

Still biting my dog trying to not message the owner who is selling the mum and keeping the puppy, b******s

If you cross a staffie x a collie and then two of the siblings mate you get inbred staffie x collie puppies.

Ooooh! I thought she was saying the parents were 1 a staffie and 1 a collie and she was claiming the offspring were inbreed, I was baffled :o

First advert: what part of mothering instinct do they not get? Massive headdesk :( Let the poor girl look after her pups and keep the other dog away from her while she does so. :( They think she's turned aggressive so want rid? Lovely. :(

Second advert: seriously? You have unneutered dogs that you've let breed cos there's not enough staffie crosses in the UK? Utterly depressing. :( Fools.

I've messaged them trying to explain this and trying to convince them to keep her and that within a few weeks of the puppies going she WILL almost certainly be back to her old self, no doubt I'll just get an abusive reply :o

Did anyone see in the earlier ads, one was for a rescue spaniel that she had rescued from the RSPCA. Now my understanding is that with rescue dogs, you cannot sell or pass them on, they must go back to the rescue. Does anyone on this site have contacts with the RSPCA?

So all in hand there at least:)

Some of these adverts are truly horrifying, how long before the dog ends up in rescue or pts branded as dangerous -through ignorance on the part of the owners and the sheer greed of the breeders who just see the bitch as a cash cow?

I know that sadly a large proportion of these ads are on Preloved (which does seem to be becoming the Dragon Driving of the dog world) but could I just say I got my beautiful deaf Dalmatian via Preloved and she is most definitely gorgeous!! I was doing the fatal thing of browsing through the adverts and she came up described as a 'Damnation' which for some reason really upset me. I still don't know whether it was a spelling mistake or really what they thought of her.

Messaged the one giving away the staffy bitch right after the litter and this was the reply -

"i would but she did it with her first litter and has never stopped her behaviour im not selling her... i want her to have a family where she can be center of attention.... and not have any other animals to contend with. "

MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE BRED HER ANOTHER BLOODY TIME THEN. Stupid idiotic people using their dog as a cash cow
On second thoughts she may be better off without them, but I daresay it'll be hard for her to find a home, there are literally thousands of staffies being given away

We aren't a million miles away from that Staffy bitch and I have really had to resist the urge to go and get her, poor girl.

It breaks my heart seeing the number of Staffies on Preloved, such a kind breed and so hard done by.

ETA: I was once talking to someone about our Staffy and telling them about her breeding and KC Registration. This person was surprised that Staffies could be KC registered, thought they were just a mongrel breed! Unfortunately, if you look at Preloved I can see how this person was misinformed, 99.9% of Staffies on there aren't KC registered.

How can I say this without sounding a snob.. erm.. right there is no way so here goes -

the vast majority (although some very responsible people own them also) of people with staffies have them to look 'hard,' every christmas theres probably 30 new staffies with the name 'tyson' on your local estate. Fast forward a few months, they're either being sold because the owner can 'no longer be ars*d' or being breed to ANYTHING for a bit of money. Its so stupid :(
Poor dogs :o They've got such an unfair bad name!

I totally agree.

One of my cousins has an amazing Staffy who has qualified for Crufts for the last three years. He is calm, good with other dogs, extremely well trained and an all round good chap. However, when my cousin takes him out for a walk on her (quite posh) estate, you would think, from the reaction of other people, that the dog was about to savage their children and eat their cats/small dogs/babies.

Unfortunately the poor dogs are all tarred with the same brush, as is our fantastic girl :(

In the right hands they're loyal family dogs, in the wrong hands theyre lethal. The sad part is 9/10 theyre in the wrong hands. They don't stand a chance! When will dogs stop being seen as status symbols by people with shockingly low IQ

What a complete bar steward to put the poor dog through it again, then! What kind of fool does that?

Never, because so many people are idiots. Every other dog round here is a staffy. I've had three different staffies attack either Brig or Bear in the past month :(

Thats disgusting! No dogs are born evil, its nurture not nature.
Stupid people, if only everyone was like me :p:rolleyes:

CT, the springadors are not the worst I have ever seen, the stud is hip scored, they seem to work and show lightly, they are not charging the earth and they have a nice set up, not a ****hole.

Considering this is a Teal and we are picking up and maybe beating along side two others of this cross this season I would actually consider another......

Springadors given a job to do are fine. I know of 2 who were bought as pets and soon became uncontrollable. One was taken on by neighbours and she has improved greatly, although she is still an escape artist. In the other you can't blame the dog, as he lives in a flat (due to a change in owners circumstances), both parents were working drugs dogs so there is no doubt a great brain in there that is so frustrated.:(
