A happier thread: Single BEST thing at your yard?

my amazing parents (sorry again for that very innappropriate post yesterday!:o) who look after my donk when i am at boarding school

the fact i have the whole of longleat woods to myself :p

the little shetland companion stormie

new addition ... great help.. hobie cat and zap cat..
no more mice! :D

Your muck heap sounds amazing! Is it an old slurry pit??
Best thing about the yard I work on is (for me!) the little tractor and trialer we have for poo picking! I feel like jenson button! haha!
Best thing about where I keep my girls is that its just me, them and the sheep, lovely!!

Nope... purpose built, we're very lucky. If/when I have my own yard I want to build one :D

that it's MY yard.
internal stables so we can all stay out of the weather when it's vile like today's.
that i have all-weather turnout in winter so NO MUD which is an absolute godsend. the dogs are the muddiest things around here!
heat lamps in 1 stable, ace for drying off wet horses, and getting toasty while grooming.
that the yard is 30 paces from the house.
that i have a lovely organised heated tackroom with a place for everything and everything in its place.
lovely big manege with super surface and J4J jumps.
proper rug racks to dry and air rugs.
plenty of space for all my feed bins and stuff.
lovely huge stables, EVA mats, gorgeous clean non-dusty Ecobed bedding.
super quiet lanes for hacking out on baby horses.
In summer, big fields and small paddocks with shelters, Gator for easy poo-picking, so I can keep it all immaculate.
Oh, sorry, just one thing, was it... ;) ;) ;)
I love my yard.
To make it perfect, I'd add heat lamps to the other stables (only in 1 at the moment, have to shuffle horses around a bit), a Coverall to 1 end of the manege, and a Haygain for steaming hay.
*tries to remember to buy more lottery tickets because I don't think Santa's that generous*

The BEST thing in my new Yard is my Monarch Internal Stabling, mid range on the price scale they were sooooo helpful , can't recommend them enough, we got 3 to start with but will get another 3 once the others are filled with liverys.
They were the only ones to come out and acuatlly measure up and check the LEVELS !! Levels are soo important otherwise u end up with doors that don't open !! Was well worth getting them to install too came at 9 am gone by lumchtime !! And of course the BESTEST things of all are our lovely horses !!!!!

2500 hectares of off road hacking :D I also love the wildlife being on the forest! Quite often I will turn up at the yard and there will be a few deer wandering across the sandschool :p

the atmosphere, so calm and the horses are so settled!

the hacking- its fabulous, plenty to explore - streams and banks and ditches to climb over, great for young eventer

the stables, big with rubber matting and automatic waterers! plus our own wee tackrooms that max of four people share.

the YO she is lovely!

the school - never floods or freezes

everything is undercover - muck heap is a tractor bucket thats at the end of the stable block, emptied reguarly.

lovely fields that are very well managed plus hard standing pens so they can go out even if too wet for fields

only been here 5 weeks but love it :D

Too many to choose just one!

Lovely off road hacking, friendly people, YO who knows his stuff and treats the horses with the kindness we would, good facillities and fab turnout.

What more can I say :) I am one happy livery
