She took them round Europe (or some of it) on the back of a tricycle too

i havent seen that one yet...
i love how playful and inventive she is with both her mini and big herds ?

She got one of those large blow-up round clear balls that a human fits inside and runs in - took it in her field running in it alongside her horses, they thought it was great fun!

?? That will please OH!! He wakes up one morning and sees a stampeding herd of shitlands outside the window!

knowing him he’ll say 4 shitlands = 1 horse!!

There’s a uk lady on youtube who has a mini herd which she takes on camping trips, along with her dog and cat, theyre all soooo adorable.

Oh my life that is wonderful! ??

What problems are they prone to?
regarding electric fencing, do they get brave with it and sneak through? There was a wild herd in the bogs here and there was a shetland with them who got through my fencing and created a storm with my 2 horses - i dont know how he did it as i have 3 lines, one at 18 inches, then another 18 inches and a top line of 4.5 foot.

They either obey all fences or none. There is no inbetween! Once they figure out how to get through you wont stop them without building Fort Knox!

29 years old now, magic shetland as first pony for daughter.

Amazing jumper, did everything and we loaned her out to another family for 6 years teaching their 3 children how to ride. Buckets of ribbons won with all riders and great experiences had.

She is now retired with us. Sadly though she lives for the attention of small children, so we have to pay a couple of 6yr olds to come over weekly and brush her and fuss over her. She is visibly cheered when she sees them and has a spring in her step for days afterward.

She needs to be around small children so, we have to buy them in.

I'll probably regret saying this but mine is fine with electric fencing. She never tests it and doesn't notice when it's turned off.

However, she is an absolute b****r for squeezing the tiniest gap at the gate when I'm taking one of the others out of the field and going on a rampage!

I get my weekly Shetland fix at munchkins miniature shetland rescue. It's definitely the cutest day of my working week and it's always a struggle not to bring one home with me!!

Mine too although if it touches the floor, he knows if it’s not clicking it’s off, then it’s fair game. So long as it’s always off the ground he doesn’t try.
