A late introduction and first lesson report - this is Darcy

What a lovely boy. He sounds so kind and willing. Looking forward to following his journey.

Beware the noseybonk horse though😉. My Rory is the world's nosiest pony and keeping his attention focused, especially at busy venues, is a serious challenge.
Same with mine.

I like Kalanisi's - they have a good attitude to work and life though can sometimes be a little stressy.

He has also ran in Britain do you are fully eligble for any and all ROR events.

Although he won his Irish PTP he wasn't that expsensive at the Cheltenham Sales - they would have been disappointed with the £31k price he got to.

I hope you have plenty of years of fun with him! Tb's have exceptional brains for learning!

tendon. Fortunately I use the same vets as we're all very local so they were able to confirm dates and scans etc and they were very happy with his recovery. His new job is so different to the old one, hopefully we'll be OK.

I wouldn't mind that either. He's not going to put it under the same kind of stress again, so it shouldn't be an issue, should it? I had one retired from racing because he pulled the suspensory (?) right off the sesamoid bones. He went xc with me no problem.

GrayMo tore his tendon completely in 2 - 100% - gone - nothing left - fetlock on the floor job! He has won so much in the show ring and has never taken a lame step in 7 years (bar an abcess on his other front foot a few months ago).

So maybe I don't worry about tendons as much as most people 😂

MP your lad will cope perfectly fine with his new work load. It's far easier than racing!

I've got a Kalanisi ex racehorse he is a giant poppet not put a stick on him but 16.3/17.0. His Dam Sire was Moscow Scociety who produced some fairly successful NH Horses.

Small. Bay. Gelding. Cute face. Just my type! He looks so sweet. Would like to see his canter, his trot is very nice and the walk has a clear rhythm.

He was a bit full of beans today after 2 days off but we did some canter at home in between the giraffe impressions

right is reasonably balanced, left is a bit motorbikey but it's not too bad considering ;) He surprised me by being so keen in the transition, last time we had to run into it a bit. They change so fast at the start, don't they :p

missed this post earlier. Thanks, yes we are all registered with ROR already as hoping to do some of the clinics with them. I really can't fault his attitude at all and when he's concentrating instead of playing silly buggers he is really quick to catch on :)

he will be very nice once you have sorted out the giraffe impressions. he is quite balanced for an ex racer especially on the first canter he looked pretty good....looking forward to the next video
