A little help with BD required

Looking at taking on the ride of horse that has some BE points but want to do BD. I've checked the 2016 rule book but cant find any mention of horses with BE points being allocated BD points as a result.
Do BE results have any effect on BD levels?

They never have in the past so without trawling through the rulebook, which you have already, there is no reason to think anything will have changed.

I've had a quick read through the eligibility section - cant see anything about BE points unless you are wanting to compete on a youth team. But probably best to ring BD and double check just in case.

As above. AFAIK the only impact that eventing achievement has is upon the rider - affects your rider group if you've ridden Intermediate or above.

From my BD friend: "BE horses are not allocated any points, so your friend should be fine. In the past BE riders have been put in a different rider group."

No chance of both as neither has a rider atm. Actually, thinking about it, one is grey and the other jet black. Being a lazy so and so the black one has distinct advantages plus I've always wanted a big black Trak. Perhaps not the best criteria for deciding on a comp horse.

I would deffo go for the black - especially if you are the one to do the prep/cleaning of said horse

Time during week plus a have a smallish yacht on the east coat which I like to spend time on at weekends during the summer which will eat in to competing time.

Any time of year really. Mud in winter, grass stains in summer. I did have a grey once and vowed never again but beggars can't be choosers.
